Default I See Trump Is Struggling To Get A-List People To Perform For Him At His Inaugration

This is shaping up to be an embarrassing disaster for Team Trump. Only six days out from the event and Donald himself took to Facebook to record a message offering free tickets to anyone who wanted to attend.

So far DC has received 200 bus permit requests for the inauguration, which means about 12,000 people. There are still hotel rooms available in the District. This is going to be an epic, epic fail.

No one wants to come to Trump's party and it's getting to him. A fucking president of the USA doing videos on Facebook begging people to show up for his party. I can’t even put into words how much of a fuck-boy manoeuvre that is to do.

But if worst comes to the worst I’m sure they’ll round up the thousands of homeless in DC, clean em up, throw them a few bucks and they'll come and fill seats or he’ll just hire regular people to act as fill-ins and clappers.

Where are all those yahoos that attended Don’s campaign rallies? Why doesn’t he pay to personally transport all those to his inauguration ? I’m guessing now that he’s gotten their votes, Don the con does not want to be seen in public with all those “deplorables”

Weather forecasts show that there is a 90% chance of rain in DC on Friday. So Trump has a readymade excuse for empty seats. I believe God is sending a message. So it would not surprise me if there is thunder and lighting.

It seems like no-one and I mean no-one wants to be associated with Trump

Look at the artists who told Trump "Yes."

    • Toby Keith
    • Doors Down
    • The Piano Guys
    • The Frontmen of Country
    • Jackie Evancho
    • King’s Academy Honor Choir
    • DC Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums

I've never heard of any of them

Look at the artists who told Trump "No"

    • Justin Timberlake
    • Bruno Mars
    • Katy Perry
    • Aretha Franklin
    • Elton John
    • Celine Dion
    • Andrea Bocelli
    • Kiss
    • Garth Brooks
    • Moby

    I’ve heard of all them

(And you can google that yourself. Trump reached out to these and was willing to pay serious money)

And then you have the famous artists who Trump and his people did not even bother asking because they knew what the answer would be, that is, the numerous singers who barred Trump from using their songs on his campaign trail, which include Adele, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Queen, and Green Day.

Now to put this into some historical perspective Obama (And I'm no fan of Obama) had performing at his inaugration

    • Bruce Springsteen
    • Stevie Wonder
    • John Mellencamp
    • Beyoncé
    • Bon Jovi
    • Alicia Keys
    • U2.

Not to mention Dustin Hoffman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington and talk show host Oprah Winfrey were all in attendance for Obama's inaugration.

The few famous people who have publicly come out in support of Trump are guys from 80's and 70's. People like Scott Baio (Chachi from Happy Days) and Chuck Norris, who had his neck broken over 40 years ago by Bruce Lee in there famous fight scene in “Way Of The Dragon” (And he's pretty much dined out on that ever since) but to be fair, he did have a half decent career as an action man in the 80's, but he's pretty much irrelevant now.

It's shame for the Trump that the likes of John Wayne and Charlton Heston are not still around, as they would have been 100% Trump supporters but Kid Rock and maybe Clint Eastwood & Jon Voight could fill a few more seats

But if all that don’t work and no-one wants to perform then Trump can play his accordion

There are many threads about Trump already and you start another one.

Brock and you have something in common.

I know that you are getting at Trump being a massive fuck up who is destined to fail but regardless of that do you not think that Hollywood has far too much influence over the whole presidency?

If labour get elected in the UK next the last thing that will interest me will be if 1D or Honey G are performing at the little election party, I think it is a dangerous habit that they have got into.
Hollywood stars were given far too much air time and column inches during the election race in America, who gives a fuck if Beyonce or Madonna supports one person or another, their lives are a million miles from the average man on the street so how can they be relatable when pushing their opinions?

I was implying that you should have put this in one of those threads, even the stickied one.

Only it's stupid dickweed like @denilson200 would think that celebrities in Hollywood mean anything and that anyone should care about their stupid drugged-out asses

It's not a failure for Trump. He set out to be the president and he achieved that goal, despite seemingly insurmountable odds against him.

It just shows the divisiveness of the country. We preach tolerance and acceptance... as long as people believe everything we believe and vote for who we vote for. It's just sad and petty that so many A-listers are forced to keep their views private for fear of committing career suicide or having themselves and their families made targets by some retarded vigilantes.

And hey, regardless of who performs... Trump won. He's going to be running the show for the next 4 years at least. Big boy.

@denilson200 all those bands forget what it is like to have to work for a living. It's not a big deal here, the media loves to harp on this shit but when the elites don't like you the people probably will. They gave a lot of money to Hillary and they are not good losers

I don't think it means very much. The sad thing is that people who I enjoy like Springsteen, Green Day etc, would have been lining up to play for Clinton despite her corruption and threats to start WW3. Forget what happened to Libya, forget the threats against Russia, forget the bribes from other countries, forget that she cannot be trusted, forget all of that. There is a kind of cognitive gap when it comes to seeing politics for what it is. How could anyone play for Obama considering his use of drones? Or his locking up of whistleblowers? There is a blind eye when it comes to the Democrats. Michael Moore is the most glaring one for me.

For the record Andrea Bocelli the blind tenor cancelled playing the inauguration because he received death threats.

The left is SO tolerant that they would tell a blind singer they would kill him if he performs for the President of the United States......wow.....you must be SO very proud denilson.
