How far can Nicholas Walters go?
I think he can make some money in this sport.
But when we match him against a smaller Rigondeaux, or other experienced boxers like Lomanchenko, or with guys that know how to grit it out like Salido, Gonzales and Mares, I don't feel he would come out too well.
What do you think?
Who should he go up with next?
Re: How far can Nicholas Walters go?
I'm looking forward to seeing him again for sure. Boxing needs guys like him who are skilled but hit hard and go out to hurt people.

He's a VERY rare power-counter-puncher. Very rare. The only other power-counter-puncher of that calibre out there was the guy he beat- Nonito Donaire.

Walters is a quality fighter and operator and he can become a superstar. Hope he does.

As I have said before I like Walters, he took on Donaire which is a feat and beat him at his own game
punch power, the small guys never get enough praise in boxing.
When I first seen Walters fight,! I was impressed and he continues to do so there are some cracking
fights out there, and he is capable of beating any one at Feather Weight.;)

Yeah I agree and the thing I like about Walters is that he'll get aggressive and put the heat on guys if they're not giving up the openings he wants. I fucking hate pure counter punchers who sit back and expect the opponent to hand them counter opportunities on a silver platter before they'll throw a punch. Walters turned up the heat on Donaire, started beating his ass and made him open himself up.
Re: How far can Nicholas Walters go?
He has all the tools off a great range and stays composed, very cool operator but does forget that jab occasionally. I think he has huge things ahead of him and a hell of a sneaky timed uppercut inside that can change things in a blink. It was the beginning of the end shot for both Donaire and Vic.
Re: How far can Nicholas Walters go?
Where does he go next? I like a fight with Jhonny Gonzalez.

It's a smart pick. Because Gonzalez is gritty. Salido too. But Salido may be too dirty for him, but I feel Walters may hurt Salido. jmo....

He should target Gonzalez next or Gradovich. I see Walters struggling with Lomachenko and Rigondeaux. I wouldn't mind seeing him square off against Uchiyama at 130.
