ROY IS BACK
Kevin Iole, Las Vegas Review Journal
-- Attorney Jim Thomas, who for years guided former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield's career, is now advising ex-champion Roy Jones Jr.
Thomas said Jones will fight in the summer against Prince Badi Ajamu, then hopefully take a step up in competition later in the year.
Thomas said Jones has patched up differences with HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg, who fired him as an analyst this year because Jones refused to attend production meetings.
Thomas said one of his goals is to ensure Jones relates better with the media than he has in the past.
Surprise surprise,the same guy that "resurected" Holyfield's career ::** ::** ???
Re: RJJ next fight:why does he not call it a day?!?!?
he should fight Dariusz Michalczewski on the undercard of Tyson-Holyfield 3 ;D
Re: RJJ next fight:why does he not call it a day?!?!?
Hmmm advising Evander really doesnt make you that good since look at what hes doin now ;)
Re: RJJ next fight:why does he not call it a day?!?!?
i think jones has too much of the ego at work....he doesnt wanna go out on the back of these losses...
he should give it up though, jones jr will no longer be a force...
Re: RJJ next fight:why does he not call it a day?!?!?
I agree Miles BUT the article says he will "hopefully step up the competition" meaning afer the fight,he plans to have more?!

if he steps up to the top level then he gets beat IMO....the guy hasnt won in a very long time and at the age of 37 is not gonna recapture any of what he once was....for a long time when tyson was on the "comeback trail" we all thought that maybe the glory days could return....it didnt happen and it wont happen here...
jones jr cannot evolve his style in way that can continue to make him successful....he was too unorthodox to begin with and once those reflexes diminish then its downhill for a guy like jones jr....
i like jones jr a lot...he will probably continue but it wont end prettily if he does....i still maintain he should call it a day....but i doubt he will though...

This fight won't happen. I don't see HBO or Showtime buying it. And there is no way Jones fights on ESPN.
