This past Tuesday in an International Conference Call Ricardo Mayorga was asked what is it that he doesn't like about Oscar de la Hoya?

Speaking through a Translator, Here is what Ricardo answered:

Ricardo Mayorga: Simply put, I really just don't like him. Personally I just don't like him on a personal level. Least on a professional level and I've always said that. You know, I've always had a disdain towards him and especially now that he's going to fight with me. So, you know, just to prove that and I'll repeat what I said before in prior interviews and in the press tour is I want to stop his heart – I not only want to stop him, I want to stop his heart or detach his retina, one of the two. I really want to do damage to him.



This guy is a maniac!! Never heard anyone say they want to detach someone's retina!!! Classic!!

I don't think Oscar can be what Mayorga is, this could be the Pryor Arguello of the 21st century.

Pryor Arguello? In what sense? I think that's too big a compliment for Oscar/Mayorga!

Yeah, you can NEVER expect a fight to turn out as good as Pryor/Arguello...especially this one.

Agreed,I have both fights and both were AWESOME!! Where those 2 like polar opposites outside of the ring too??
