Surfers could collect an allusive prize today. 1 mill to surf a wave 100 feet

ITs 540 am here  I woke up cause the ocean which is 6 mile away woke me up with its roaring.
I have to share the exitment of what  the day holds for some..this is a rare storm looks like you'll see massive waves surfed in the southern ocean on the news tonight. There is a million dollars up for grabs for the first documented wave surfed over 100 feet.

As we speak men with oversized cahoonas are flying towards Tasmania  to surf ship wrecks,a nasty muther fucker of a wave that has never seen a storm as close or as intense as this one.
Everything is right ,the tide is even on the rise ,just as this mother of a swell hits the bottom of Tassie. ;D
Light in one hour,its windy and rainy but Im off to surf one of our local breaks probably the bigggest we ever seen it on this tide.Which will be about head high ,just right for me.

Flying there, they arent rich but Ripcurl sponser them with private jets ,jet skis etc etc.They have houses they buy localy all over the world so they can hang for a few days at these out of the way spots.Red bull sponser some of them too.as do Billabong.
So its a race.They have medics with them oxygen masks the whole kit n caboodle all on stand by.
People do die they've lost two men in about 5 years sometimes they just dont surface .
