Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
after a tricky opening stanza as hatton adapts to collazo's style, hatton will begin to assert himself and overwhelm collazo....
probably a late tko in favour of mr hatton...
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
Hatton should win this fight, but he better be conditioned, and he better not overlook Collazo. Hatton, IMO, can beat Collazo on a bad day, but overlooking a fighter can end up like Zab-Baldomir.
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
I don't think Ricky will overlook Collazo,it's not his style to come in under prepared and I think he will stop Collazo late on.
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
This guy is nowhere in Hatton's league....
A 40 and 0 record is not something to play with.
Even though he has fought NOT many named opponents but neither has Joe Callaghze and you seen what he can do.
Hatton will knock this guy out...
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
you do realise the 40-0 has only 1 "name" on it ;)

Vince Phillips is a solid fighter, Ben Tackie is a solid fighter, Carlos Maussa isn't easy for anyone
These guys are basically stepping stones for the elite and Ricky passed the test like Kostya and Sharmba did
The best he can do at this point is come to America and get in there with the top fighters (if none are too shaken up). No sense in mentioning only 1 name on his record, we all know that
But we also know you like telling us :)
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
Collazo will shock Hatton and all of England when he wins.
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
if hatton loses then im leaving this site! >:mad ;D
what on earth am i saying? nothing could push me to leave this place....
hatton will overcome collazo in a very exciting encounter....though i truly see a few difficult early rounds....

;D Then I would have the best :coolclick:/ :sadclick: ratio this side of 10,000 :sneaky:
Actually I think Ouma and Game are still above me haha
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
And like both me and you have said before, Hatton will figure Collazo out by round 4 and have him out of there by the time round 10 rolls around. 8)
I guess Cotto - Hatton would be consolation if PBF - Hatton/Margarito doesn't happen.

You do realize that he is only 27? And he's looked spectacular since breaking on the scene. Not to mention that name was only 140's best, bar none. And after that he beat Collazo. And Collazo is no bum.

you subversive beast you!!! :-X ;D
there's no way hatton loses this.....a lot of people keep bringing up hattons cuts, but to be honest though he does cut, its not as persistant as people believe...
it shouldnt be a factor in too many of his fights ahead at all....
give him a few rounds to get into a rhythym and then collazo will get picked apart....
Re: Collazo ready for Hatton
Ricky Hatton is a totally entertaining fighter.
I'm not sure what sort of shape he is in for this fight but I did se a clip on Sky where he said that he felt that he had done all the hard work in the gym and now it was light training until fight day which is this weekend isn't it?
I hope Ricky wins simply because i would love to see his entertaining style up against the real luminaries in the fight game at the moment.
It's also going to get harder for PBF and the likes to keep away from him if he keeps winning.
Collazo looks a tough honest customer and should be a good test for Hatton and it will be interesting to see how quickly Hatton settles into the fight.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think PBF is ducking Ricky, PBF is just chasing much bigger paydays in the form of the old warhorse ODLH.
However if Ricky can keep winning and preferably winning well then he should be in the ring with PBF within the next two years.
If they both keep winning then pretty soon these two guys won't have anyone else 'bigger' left to fight.
