Back at work now , quandary - advice gratefully received
So I been off work 8 weeks sick after an op - came back yesterday which was bad enough (I had to set the fucking alrm clock for first time in ages !)
I was supposed to start a new job April 3rd for a new team that has been set up - obviously my start was delayed so they held off on initial meetings and team building away days initial get together.
Anyway - bear in mind the new team is all women but me.
They have now rearranged them upon my return and sent out agendas.
First one - is 11 till 17:00 on 15th June in London
England kick off against Trinidad at 5pm that day !!! WTF !!! You need to be in pub from midday to build up atmosphere
Team awayday spans two days 4th & 5th July - in London, agenda covers the evening
If England get to semis we will be fucking playing then too !! I need to be in leeds with me posse to build up to thematch and celebrate afterwards !
Had to walk out of office to calm down when I got the emails.Haven't replied yet but really think I have to refuse - but its a new job and they have waited especially for me for these, and don't want to rock the boat too early.
Bleeding women !! Been waiting 4 years for this
What would everyone else do ?

you look peaky are you feeling ok?
semis? have you seen the squad ;D
Re: Back at work now , quandary - advice gratefully received
we still have a chance
Walcott may prove to be Sven's masterstroke - or a complete failure....
The lad has pace which won't be affected by inexperience on the world stage, and with the attacking midfield behind him that will frighten any defence in the world. Unfortunately he will probably split the defence and miss from 6 yards - as his shooting may indeed be affected by inexperience and nerves on the world stage... :-\

Mark thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. if anyone tried to arrange a meeting in our team for any days that collide with England playing they would get a resounding 'f*ck off' ...well they would get refusals. Funily enough everybody has either booked days off/working at home/booked customer meetings on the day that England are playing. Our bosses know that we are really going to be in a boozer getting beered.
I think they havent thought about it properly. Might be worth sending a tentative e-mail around saying that England are playing on that day and are the FUKCING AWARE!
If it was the wrold netball championships i bet you wouldn't have a problem
Feckin burds!!! (annoyed)
