Re: When was Oscar included in the P4P
Intresting question...
Some were trying to make him a Pound for Pound top 10 entry from fight one (1992). Some put him in after his fifth fight against Lil Floyd's lesser known Uncle, Jeff (1993). Others felt he deserved the place after beating Jimmy(i) Bredhal (1994). I felt he deserved a top ten place after beating John John Molina (1995).
As for when he was at his best, IMO, I would say 1995 though to 1999, he was at his peak, and he peaked in the first Julio Cesar Chavez in 1996, when he was fighting it out, for the Pound for Pound #1 slot with Roy Jones Jr. But that is merely my opinion, ultimately Pound for Pound is purely subjective. ;)

Thanks! Do we have any listings of that exact P4P list where we have Oscar?

Wow! He was in the thick of things then. Even went# 1. Also, I never thought a HW would be included here. Maybe my impression of Heavyweights today affects that. Hopkins too was never near then. Thanks Britkid

Just a thought, if let's say Oscar get past Winky. How would you rate him P4P. Will he take#1 without fighting PBF?
