Why the Taylor-Winky winner should be #1 p4p
TAYLOR - Would be able to say he beat Hopkins, Hopkins again, and then Winky. If B-Hop was #1 p4p for the first fight, and Taylor beat him twice, then he beats the current # 2 guy, it's hard to go against him.
WINKY - Would be able to say he beat Mosley, Mosley again, Trinidad, and Taylor. Those are 4 impressive wins. And he's currently # 2 p4p.
PBF - Yeah, he just beat Judah. But before that it was the washed up Sharmba Mitchell, the overrated Gatti, and the overmatched Bruseles. Not saying he aiint # 1, but the winner on June 17 has a good case, too.
Re: Why the Taylor-Winky winner should be #1 p4p
Hey sugar ray was the best pound 4 pound but does that mean he had to fight marciano to prove it???? Dont lose sight of p4p Floyd is the best right now of course if he moved up to middle he would probably get spanked no doubt but the kid has all the tools speed, power, defense, ring generalship, chin ,again till someone proves otherwise it is what it is ladies and genlteman
FLOYD IS DA MAN
Re: Why the Taylor-Winky winner should be #1 p4p
Dude, you just totally ignored my points. And I think Iactually put up a good argument for both Taylor and Winky.

given the overall quality of opposition that PBF and Taylor have faced, if Taylor beats Winky I would say he is the new #1 p4p....
Re: Why the Taylor-Winky winner should be #1 p4p
Sorry Man a few beers deep 2 nite LOL!!!! I guess I get all fired up when I am on a worldwide forum and you have and obvious talent that is hated on???? Cant figure out if it based on unbiased research and intelligent analyizaion(if thats a word) or a predjustice and dislike for him again he is not rated the best for his content of character but for his boxing skill
Re: Why the Taylor-Winky winner should be #1 p4p
A lot of people dont even rate taylor in there top 10. I sure don't. If taylor was to win it would put him in the top ten above hatton, castillo but still below pbf, pac, mab. Imo taylor didn't win the first fight so there should even had been a second fight and on top of that he looked bad in both fights. If winky wins he has a good claim at #1. Becoming undisputed champ in two weight classes speaks loud when its hall of fame time.

I have absolutely no doubt that neither Winky or Taylor would be able to compete with Kessler so of course they could not be ranked no1 p4p. Kessler would outbox or stop both guys.

I strongly disagree with you... its the same thing with Oscar Dela Hoya being #1 at the same time as Roy Jones Jr. jsut because he was fighting better competition, but clearly Roy Jones was more dominant, and a better fight. Floyd Mayweather is more skilled, and better tactician than Winky Wright, and he has in the past fought similarly skilled opponents.

Winky would not go up that high in weight he is a small middle weight. I think Taylor would put up a good fight, he has good boxing skills and some power. Besides he is a larger middle weight, he wont be around this weight forever, he will eventually move up to SMW.

wo wo wo hey he destroy Corrales, beat castillo he beat Corley, cmon he is as good as it gets but I will like him to fight someone like Hatton or Cotto.
Re: Why the Taylor-Winky winner should be #1 p4p
Wright is p4p but Taylor isn't. Taylor wins he doesn't become p4p number 1. And Neither does Wright if he wins. Winky is pretty much in the position Hopkins was when Roy was being dominant.
