A July showdown in St. Louis, Missouri between former undisputed welterweight champion Cory Spinks and IBF junior middleweight champion Roman Karmazin was officially approved by the IBF. Karmazin had a mandatory challenger in Rodney Jones but the IBF has granted an exception allowing Karmazin to defend his title against Spinks. There has been some questions about whether the fight will be held July 1st or July 8th. Since the fight is going to broadcast live on Showtime and since Showtime hosts its events the first Saturday of each month, it’s looking likely that the fight will take place on Saturday July 1.

Finally....SPinks is back...whatchuthink?

I could care less...I don't like either fighter & if Karmazin aint rematchin Ouma...fwock it!

At the moment...I'm 100% right about not caring also. ;D

Rome wasn't burned in a day, Jim Rome is burning, it should take Spinks 12 rounds and he will be the champ. Then Spinks will fight Ouma or Vargas

I like 2nd or 3rd generation athletes. Hope he does well and live out his potential

This is an interesting fight. I'm actually excited about this. But I don't understand why Ouma didn't get a rematch first.

Because Oscar wanted to showcase him on HBO Latino then ESPN then his PPV while Roman stays inactive and Ouma has 3 fights ;D
