IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
Lets not pretend that there is no chance of this happening. It could happen. I haven't seen much of Collazo but from what I hear and read, he seems to be underrated by many.
What if he wins? What does that make of Hatton? We obviously wouldn't want to see him against PBF or anything like that. Maybe that would give Margarito the opportunity to fight a big name in the division to generate enough hype to warrant a fight against PBF?
What about Collazo? Will we all want to see Collazo in the big mix if he pulls off the win?
This could change things a bit...
Re: IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
yeah it would be awesome for collazo if he wins. and it would seriously fuck up hattons chances of getting his hands on mayweather. floyd wouldnt want anything to do with hatton if he loses, he's running scared now and a loss on ricky's record would be a perfect excuse for floyd not to fight him. i know floyd says he wants hatton. but floyd says a lot.
i cant see collazo winning, but you never know, the man is supposed to be a world champion.
Re: IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
I gaurentee that if Callozo wins there will be a rematch with Hatton and callozo won't beat hatton twice. I just don't see Callozo pulling it off, like I have said in other threads I think callozo is gonna come full force the first few rounds then realize hattons to much for him and then hattons gonna take him to school.

Hatton won't lose & Floyd aint running scared.
Here's the question that settles it all...so just answer it...honestly...
Would you work your ass off one night for $20 million plus the fame of humiliating one of the better boxers of this gen or would you work your ass off fighting two men on two seperate nights for $8 million & maybe $10 million...maybe $10 million & much less fame on your record?
You really don't even need to answer...because unless your'e desperate to get that next rock or mathematics elluded you throughout your years in public school...you'd take the one night...am I right? Or am I wrong?
I'm right...trust me...you might not want me to be...but I am 100% right on this one...because I...like most of my male counterparts accross this glorious globe am a lazy fwock who loves making easy money & I'd take the one night for fame & fortune.
Re: IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
it's all about the dollar signs for floyd.
Re: IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
You cant blame Floyd one bit for fighting Dela Hoya, he should fight him but hopefully we see Hatton in the mix with both of these guys.

How is Floyd running scared? Floyd and his team, legitimately offered Hatton the fight, and Hatton's team said they weren't ready. Some of you dumb asses need to get it through your thick skulls, HATTON DOESN'T WANT TO FIGHT PBF UNTIL HE IS A STAR IN THE US!!! Once he is a star here, then if he fights PBF and loses, he'll still be a force at welterweight and can still be a star here. If he fought PBF instead of Collazo for his fight and lost, then there's no way he could ever be a star in the US after that, plus his appeal to the Brits would be diminished as well because he crossed the pond and got his ass whooped. PBF isn't scared of Hatton, Hatton isn't scared of PBF, this is all business.

Something is traded for something whether you live in Indonesia & trade rice for shoes...it's all money in the end.

EXACTLY!!! 99% of these people act like they would give Margarito a shot if they were in PBF's shoes. Well honestly, if 99% of these people we're actually in PBF's shoes, they'd be trying to fight De La Hoya too. If Tony land a lucky ass BS shot and PBF gets knocked out, who is the dumbass? PBF. Even though Tony only has a punchers chance, that's still a chance. PBF essentially threw away his undefeated record, his P4P rankings, a difference of $15 Million, all because he wanted to give Tony a shot. Well unfortunately people we live in the real world, not some fucking Rocky movie. Shit if Rocky had PBF's pedigree and record, he wouldn't have fought that Russian mother fucker.
Re: IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
thank u albsur, these fucking idiots kill me Ricky Hatton has admitted himself he's not ready and i respect him for being honest, he's not scared of Floyd and Floyd is absolutely not scared of him its all about the right amount of money in the right amount of time period.
Re: IF Collazo Wins.... then what???
Surely this is Hatton's shot at the states, if he gets beat by Collazo, and it's not a lucky shot or a dodgy points decision, then I don't think he'll get another big fight over in the big bankroll of the US. I don't know too much bout Collazo, but I don't think they'd have made the fight unless they saw it as anything tougher than a stepping stone, and I really hope that he won't get distracted by the much bigger fights after Collazo. That's got to be the only way he can lose this fight, if his head's not right, he's got the skills.

Hatton was ready late 2004 for floyd IF he'd have come over to england, remember hatton was under Frank Warren. 'Allegeadly' Frank is known as the british version of Don King, and without the tszyu fight, he wouldn't have been able to make nearly as much money as he can now make in the US. So all this BS about hatton not being ready as a fighter is not true. As a business/career move, yes he wasn't ready, in terms of money and the level of his name. Now, he's a signed HBO fighter and has an extremely strong American base promotion/manager wise. Plus, he had a legal struggle with the IBF/WBA with all 3 of Frank Warren/M'baye/Rabah and as a result is titleless, even though he beat the No.1 and WBA champ at 140. That shows how badly he has been screwed. The 'Hatton wasn't ready for Floyd' crap does not wash.

No he wasn't. He clearly stated back then...before Kostya came over to fight him that Floyd was in the future...but down the road.
Keep it real now...keep it real. I got that shat on tape...he said then he wasn't ready & he also said that he wasn't ready before the FLoyd & Judah fight...only afterwards did he say he was ready...then turns out...it's got to be two or three fights down the road.
Wacko be listnin on all things Floyd. ;D

Right, they are PRIZE fighters, and if the price ain't right then they don't fight. Hatton will make people want to pay for the fight by kickin ass this saturday
