I'm from Canada... and planning to go to Europe for a couple weeks this Christmas. To be honest, I had no interest in coming to England. I thought, "Why would I go there? See Prince Charles and his sons play some friggin polo? Stand out in the rain?" But after coming on here, I gotta get to over there some time. You people are a funny group of people, especially when it comes to insults. I swear you could fill a dictionary just with British insults. And the words you use are hillarious to me, and I am having to keep myself from letting them sneak their way into my vocabulary. I don't want to come across as a wanna be Brit!

But yeah... if you see a young guy smashed out of his mind this Christmas, wearing Canadian gear in hopes that it really is true that Canadians get treated extra well most places ;D, it could be me. Come say hi. Of course there is a pretty good chance that it won't be me, and you'll look like a fool. Ahh well. :lickish:

Just thought I'd say... keep up the good humour. Sometimes when I travel south to the US I get the exact opposite vibe. (Not all Americans, so don't go on a sad click fest please).

I have family in Toronto and the hospitality and welcome from Canadians in general is always great. Hope you come over and enjoy it and that we make yiou welcome - BUT MAKE SURE YOU HOOK UP WITH A BRIT OR YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF IN LONDON.

Make sure people know you're Canadian otherwise they will assume you're American and will give you a hard time. Also mention that the French are shit. We dislike them nearly as much as the Germans. ;)
