All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
After this performance, who honestly wants to see Hatton lose to PBF? The outcome is no longer in question. This kid, exciting as he is, has NO defense. He constantly gets hit coming in. This might be an easier fight for PBF than Gatti. Collazo only has 9 KO's and almost KO'd Hatton. And he closed one of his eyes.
Now we all can officially scratch Hatton's name off PBF's possible opponents list.

CC I was cheering for Hatton, because I had never seen his opponent before, but he lost that fight IMO or at least had a closer fight than he should have... a focused Judah or Mayweather would make Hatton look like how Mayweather made Gatti look... I don't even know if Hatton could beat Gatti.

Hatton-Gatti would be like the 3rd Ward fight imo. Gatti would decision him

Even Gatti would beat him imo.

Have a CC yourself. Kinda refreshing to hear a Hatton fan being objective about the whole thing. IMO, the fight was very close and could've gone either way. The one judge had it my too much of a margin, and a split decision or a draw would've been acceptable.

why is that? 'coz you can't see the big picture? that fact this guy had a 7 or more inch bigger reach than hatton was the sole reason hatton looked as bad as he did and the fight was so close. PBF doesn't have that reach advantage, he isn't a natural at that wait.
Truth be told, this guy was prolly the hardest, most tricky fighter to put hatton up agasint for his first fight at this w8, he was a naturaly bigger guy, with a 7 + inch reach, a south paw (they given hatton some trouble in the past) and to top it all off he was fighting in his home country.
So how you, or anyone else could judge hatton purly on that match is freaking shocking tbh.. rome wasn't built in a day matey

CC as for Calazo(I think thats his name) he really impressed me and should definitely be considered a top contender... He is really good.

did you know that Mayweather has 6 more inches of reach with EACH ARM as opposed to the 2 inches per arm tonight. Also Mayweather is taller than Hatton. Is much faster with his feet than Hatton's current opponent, harder puncher, and a better inside/body puncher. Sure Mayweather throw those combinations, but he would throw the same combinations he did against Gatti, remember that? It would be an ugly fight... Mayweather would be so much quicker he could literally put all his power behind every punch which not even Hatton would take though I give him all the credit in the world for taking what he did tonight.
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
If the biased refs let him hold and hit all night he has a good chance at 147.
I am a big Hatton fan but all of that ruiz technique has got to go. Either that or allow boxing to become ultimate fighting because a lot of grabbers are are becoming very successful with the right refs.
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
YOUR RIGHT THE AMOUNT OF RIGHT HANDS HATTON WILL TAKE WILL BE JUST TO MUCH. I DON'T THINK MAYWEATHER WILL HAVE ENOUGH ONE PUNCH POWER TO KNOCK HATTON OUT( UNLESS ITS TIMED TO PERFECTION)
BUT IT HINK IT WILL TAKE ITS TOLL.
NOW IF HE FOUGHT JUDAH HE COULD GET BLOWN OUT IN QUICK TIME.
THE FIGHT WILL BE LIKE GATTI VS MAYWEATHER. I THINK HATTONS CORNER WILL PULL HIM OUT.

Gatti is a better fighter than Hatton.......Collazo is better than Hatton, PBF is better, Judah is better. Hell the only fight I would want to see hatton in would be against Mayorga..
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
You guys must not box...
A left handed fighters punches are VERY hard to anticipate, which is why its hard to slip their punches or stop that Right hook....
This would NOT happen against a Orthodox fighter...If collazo was not a southpaw he'd have gotten stopped early....
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
I seriously doubt that with Hatton's openess in between his swings.
And Mayweather can fight Southpaw and orthodox when the situation calls for it ;)
So you're giving Hatton an excuse for facing a southpaw?
What was your prediction before this fight?
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
I knew that this fight would go to a Decision..
I have all 40 of hattons fights, and every southpaw he fought he had problems with...So this is NO surprise...
Re: All the anticipation for PBF-Hatton is gone!
its a surprise to those who thought Ricky could walk through Collazo and that just because he took Tszyu's shots he'd be able to take Collazo's well.
Rick was exposed by the same flaws Vilches and Magee exposed that were there years ago, if Ricky was ever going to move forward those openings wouldn't be there anymore, but those openings are still there as they were 5 years ago.
That is as good as Hatton gets against a boxer and he will be beaten next time, not just exposed against that style.
