Left lead hook
ok, when I throw my lead hook, I want to keep it inside, right? But all the time? So often you see pro boxers throw a lead hook with a straight arm. Also, how should your knuckles be aligned? Parallel to the ground or verticly or somewhere in between? I'm also lifting my elbow a bit when I throw my jab and can't kick the habit without feeling like I'm losing power and snap. Any suggestiongs? Thanks.

Re: Left lead hook
Short jab and long Hook are pretty much the same arm movement. To stop the elbow lifting with your jab, stand with your left shoulder against the wall, in the boxing stance throwing the jabalong the wall .You will feel it in your shoulder after about a minute, relax, then have a rest, then do it again. This will help the muscle imbalance you have in your shoulder, And help your muscle memory

Re: Left lead hook
When I throw the long range left hook, I would have a hard job putting into words the difference between a job... the difference is so small I'd have to show you ;)

Re: Left lead hook
See, right now I'm kind of throwing my jab as though swinging a baseball bat, but not as dramatic. So it's actually delivering from below my elbow and almost making impact with the side of my hand. Know what I mean?
I'll give the wall thing a try. My straight right's frikkin killer though! ;D
