Re: Boxing ring dimensions?
I believe they can be anywhere from 16 ft to 24ft professional. The size of the ring will depend on what the two fighters decide on. A boxer likes a bigger ring, and a puncher likes the smaller rings.

Iv read that professional rings should be no less than 16 squared foot and no larger than 20 squared feet, usa and olymic are to be no less than 18 squared feet and no more than 24 squared feet?
but 20ft square seems very small, that would be like 5ft by 4 ft? surly thats not right?
thanks alot in advance for the answers
It's not 20 squared feet ie. 5 x 4, it's (20 feet) squared i.e 20 x 20

a 16ft by 16ft is really a 20ftx20ft ring(400sq ft)...you lose 2ft on all sides after setups(posts/ropes/turnbuckles).....a 24x24 is absolutely huge!!!!!...I remember being in one down in Cincinnatti, Ohio....it seemed like a mile between the corners!!!....too big..
