Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
When Cotto takes care of business on saturday, i feel this fight has to happen in the fall, the only question is there enough intrest to make the right $$ for these guys, we all know this fight will go a long way to cement there legacys, so both will want to paid very well, i feel this is the fight the fans want rather than each one of them fighting Castillo, my feelings are that the $$ will be the stumbling block.
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
I definitely agree, this is my most anticipated fight(apart from Tony-pbf ;D) but another possible stumbling block is the weight. Hatton will have to fight Cotto at 147,after this Paulie fight,Cotto was meant to be fightin JLC but if that does not go ahead,he's moving up to 147.
My take on the situation is,and as bad as it sounds,Castillo will still fight Cotto.Arum is not stupid,it will make him ALOT of $$$,Mexica-Puerto Rico, imagine the atmosphere,so I imagine Hatton Cotto mid-late 2007? I think it has exceeded PBF-Hatton in terms of excitement.
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
If it happens in 2006 then it'll be at 140 hopefully. Castillo should be out of the window. I think Banner will push for this fight in sept/oct for a HBO PPV. Arum would take it if he had half a brain, although to still be promoting Castillo after that fiasco I doubt he'd pull it out the bad.
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
Would lv to see this! both are big at the weight but i fancy Hatton to edge it with the pace he sets. Not sure he can set a fast pace and keep it up 4the 12rounds if the fight at 147lb so it would be even closer fight.
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
Yes I would love to see Cotto-Hatton but Cotto has to beat Malinaggi and JL Castillo (if that fat bastard can make the weight)
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
This is top of my list now. I see the fight going at least ten. These two would make huge dollars and cement their legacy with fighting each other, and remathces or a trilogy if they can get em done quick enough.
Id be happy If Cotto and PBF were the only people Hatton ever fought from now on.
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
At this point I would rather see Hatton take on the winner of Baldomir/ Gatti
Hatton v. Cotto would be a good fight, but I really wanna see him take on Gatti
that would be a close fight!!

I think in a perfect world he would rematch Collazo, but tell me this, what is Ricky's gain? It is neither a mandatory defense, nor a shot at another title. Too big of a risk with no reward.

YES i would love to see this fight!
I really really do not know who to pick, im gona lean towards Hatton tho.
Re: Who agrees we have to see Hatton v Cotto!!
Let us see if Cotto can win on Saturday first...
If Cotto keeps his '0' then the fight has great potential.
But if Cotto loses then Baldomir or if 6/6/6 is the end of the World ;D, Gatti, would be ideal for Ricky IMO.

:coolclick:
Couldn't agree more, I think if Gatti uses his head for something besides a catchers mitt, he could beat Hatton
