Supermiddles ready to come alive
After years of being an afterthought it seems the Supermiddle division is throwning up some exciting fighters.
Whilst you have Calzaghe, Kessler and Byer established at world level lurking in the shadows are Curtis Stevens , Jose Revaldo , Joey Spina , Librado Andrade and our very own Carl Froch .
Surely one of these can step and make the grade at world level whilst im not entirely sure about Stevens ,Spine and Revaldo i've heard Andrade was impressive in dismissing Otis Grant in 6 rounds and is making alot of noise .
Froch continues to frustrate and seems blighted by injurys ( injured hand against Maggee requires surgery) he seems to box to the level of his opponent , Maggee is a much underated people forget Brian Maggee dominaited Andre Thysee and stopped him in 10 rounds and had fought and beat some usefull fighters though in my opinion was just a tad short of true world class .
I think Froch can and will be a player on the world stage .
Re: Supermiddles ready to come alive
Froch has good power nad good conditioning, and that's pretty much it. If he'd have been facing anyone mildly more powerful than Magee last time out he would have been stopped, has no defence at all, and Lacy showed you need more than power at the very top.
I used to hate the guy with all his bullshit talking, but now find him amusing, I usually look forward to what the guy has to say next.
He needs to improve dramatically if he's serious about becoming a champ, we'll see if he's learned his lesson when he fights for the european title in the autumn hopefully.
