To fight Flloyd......
He has fought for nearly 15 years, won World Titles in 6 different weights, fought all the best fighters, given his fans his heart, soul, body, mind, sweat and tears, bought us the biggest fights in boxing ever, and constantly succeeded, comes back makes a near perfection fight in his comeback, and takes time off to rest while progressing fighters into the game, and bringing on youth, providing fights for others to make money to feed there families with his promoting, and still you moan because he goes on holiday.
I mean for fucks sake, the guy is only human, if he killed himself in the ring whilst fighting every boxer you want him to see one after the other on a Oscar De La Hoya v The World Mega Bill
Would that make you happy.
He has to think about himself, his wife, his children, his family and freinds, we the fans come last, and for 16 years he has put us first, so dont you think we should cut him just a bit of slack?!
The man is a boxing legend, pay him some respect!

Are we aware that if Mayorga had won first testing positive for that laxitive and all these injuries Oscar had would have taken away from the victory ;D

The thing is it's all about image for the Goldenboy. I, and I'm sure others on here just think Oscar is milking this by pretending it's a wrenching decision. He's trying to be all Rocky Balboa before he fought Ivan Drago and portray himself as having all these doubts just to make him all the more endearing to his millions of fans.
I'm sure his plan long before he agreed to the Mayorga fight was to get a mega showdown with Mayweather.
He picked Mayorga because he knew he would be able to project himself as the good and noble boxer with dignity against the evil wildman Mayorga, yet behind the scenes fixing the contract so that he made nearly 4 times as much from the fight as did the champion Mayorga.
Personally although I like De La Hoya's fighting style I think his carefully manufactured image as the golden, butter wouldn't melt in my mouth wonderboy is just a load of fake bullshit.
He's a ruthless businessman plain and simple. His plan has been to fight Floyd for the last couple years.
Personally I hope he gets sparked out :P

yes...and I think we can wait another month before we start getting on ODLH....he has earned it...
