He already knows he loses. It's the millions he's going to make that is motivating him.
He's already worked out that he will lose on points, but give a courageous display that will endear him to his fans.

Oscar,' You know what Larry, I had one hell of a ride, a brilliant career, He (Floyd) is one hell of a champion, I gave it everything I had. My heart was there for all to see, but tonight Larry, the body just wasn't able to finish the journey.
Larry, 'In the.......10 th round, Floyd caught you with a vicious shot to the body........You looked like you were in pain.....and it looked to me...and I'm sure the people watching on HBO.........that this was going to be another Hopkins and that you were going to.........quit.........or get stopped.........What kept you on your feet and able to continue......against the relentless punching from Mayweather.
Oscar, ' Larry you know what, when Bernard stopped me with that horrible bodyshot to my solar plexus I was embarrassed. .. I've lived with that ever since and I was determined to show my fans, and the millions watching on HBO, that I'm not a quitter. I dug deep, absorbed the pain, and you know.......just somehow kept going. I think I proved to everyone tonight that I am not a quitter...
Larry.' You know.....you are definitely not a quitter! Are you proud of your performance tonight Oscar?;
Oscar,' You know what Larry..............I am... I'm 34 years old and I've been a professional boxer a long time. People said I didn't have it anymore......and honestly........I questioned it myself at times.....My wife actually told me though that she belived in me, and that I could do this......and.you know Larry.. I didn't win but I think I showed all the people, all the unbelievers that I could still mix it with the best p4p fighter in the world right now......and...who knows....if I was a couple years younger... maybe...I could have beaten him...
Larry,' You know Oscar, you have every reason to be proud tonight....you gave a superb display....showing tremendous heart... and you have given so much to boxing and the people love you.....we love you.......Oscar I love you...
Oscar ' You know Larry that means so much to me. I've strived my whole career to live my life by example, and show people what they can achieve if they really believe in themselves. My biggest wish has always been that I could inspire people, especially young kids to believe in themselves and if my career and my performance tonight has shown to one kid, that they could do whatever it is in life that they desire, then my life will have been worthwile.
Larry', Wise and gracious words from you Oscar, as always. You are a true champion, a lion and we will miss you. The world will miss you, and you know........boxing will be somewhat.....more empty without you in it....
Oscar,' I feel that Larry, I really do. But although this is the end of the road for me as far as my boxing career is concerned, and this chapter in my life is finished, I promise my fans from all over the world, that you have not seen the last of me.................I would like to announce now Larry....my plans for the future...I want to open an academy for young people......somewhere where they can come....and get an education...and training...not in boxing...but in the heart...and soul..you know what I mean Larry? I want to make a difference in these kid's lives...I want to you know....empower these kids with a belief that they can do anything....and be anybody as long as they trust in themselves....amd you know live a good honest life with integrity and values....like me Larry.

'Oscar' Well thankyou Larry, but you know I never do these things for the recognition it will bring me. I just want to inspire...you know and make a difference....If in some small way this leads to my Canonnisation and Sainthood....well then I guess I would humbley bow to the wishes of the people.....but you know that is not why I do these things Larry.
Larry' Of course, we know Oscar, you are just an incredible human being. I heard talk before the fight. that you have plans to open a De La Hoya Shrine, where pilgrims can come and worship and bath in the Goldenboy Fountain of Cleansing. What can you tell me about this?
Oscar' Yes Larry, thats absolutely true. I am opening my own special Shrine, it's called the Goldenboy Fountain and..........yes people can come and be cleansed. I won't be there in person, but you know my spirit will be and by coming to my temple people can share in and be cleansed by my Holy Spirit. And you know the best thing Larry, is this is all free. It won't cost people a penny to come to my shrine and seek my blessing and cleansing. Just a small donation to my Goldenboy Foundation..I think reasonably around $1000 dollars per person per visit to the cleansing fountain is all people will need to bring. .............And for extra empowerment and to help spread my message of love and integrity I will have videos and memorabillia for sale, at excellent prices so people can take home my wisdom and love and share it with their freinds and family.

Larry' This is marvellous news Oscar, I would love to be present for this event, and I know that in backroom negotiations earlier today, HBO agreed to broadcast this spectactular once in a lifetime event.
