Pacquiao is not a perfect boxer, but he is a perfect fighter, something we rarely see...for a sport like boxing we lack punchers...thats what makes pacquiao great, he is a puncher and slowly becoming an intelligent fighter. Pacquiao made me love the sport again. Although he lost a lot of his humility in a span of 2 years, boxers arent expected to be humble. But i do prefer humble boxers.
Going back, forget the heavyweight boxers, most of them doesnt even come close to the excitement that Manny brings into the ring. I am certainly hoping that Pacquiao vs Barrera II will come soon. I still think Manny has to prove himself against Barrera now with his guard up.
dude if you labeled pac as not being humble...
how do you call my boy FLOYD? or maybe a miketyson?
man, your dawg pac is the most humble boxer ive ever seen :-\

Your right . Pac is lots of fun to watch, it is a good thing that we have strong weight classes below heavyweight, I am glad the lower weight classes are getting the recognition they deserve , something to be said for having to make weight. Heavyweight should have to make weight also and there would be better fights . Too many fighters in the Heavyweight division now days are just to big and fat to be exciting , they are methodical slow paced poor conditioned athletes , for the most part . This Chaz Witherspoon was refreshing at 6"4 232 , I hope he sets a trend. Cause there is no reason that a pro fighter can’t get to 240 lbs or better.. Most of these guys if they was in boxing condition would average out at about 225 lbs. the Key word is “Boxing Condition” Hell You can have a great trainer, you can have a great game plan, but if you are not in shape to carry it out, its all worthless. IMO

Re: Pacquiao the Heavyweight
hhhhhmmmmmm, it irritates me that people always think that a negative comment equals being a hater. Pacquiao is a great fighter and I admire him. So what if I personally think that he is not humble? People say it all the time that Manny is a humble man, yes he is to a certain degree but I see more arrogance now but so what? Who the hell cares and what is the big deal? The greatest boxer was 10x more arrogant than pacman and he is regarded as the greatest. You guys are so sensitive. Geez.

In the last 10 years we saw:
Holyfield upset Tyson, Tyson bite Holyfields ear, Lennox Lewis unify the heavyweight championship, Rachman upset Lewis, and Vitali and Lewis fight an unexpected war.
It has only been since Lewis retired that the division has weakened.

in some degree yes, that's correct it was when Lewis left the scene when the decline really started, but somebody has to step up don't you think?

Re: Pacquiao the Heavyweight
Let me say this...I'm no Pac fan...but I do enjoy watching him of late...I still think that he was a bit limited against Marquez...but he's done a bit of a turn around in the last few fights.
