the fight against lacy was impressive for the first few weeks...the more you think of it...well lacy is not at all rank p4p top 10 at all he was just a young up and coming fighter... and shouldn't joe.C have a match schedule by now...I want to see him fight in america in a crowd thats not on his nuts all night...a lof of fighters choke in crowds thats not 100% supportive...same goes to hatton...come out of your backyards...its okay to play in the big boys playground now...they need to fight in the u.S...if they want to be known all across the world...hatton beat koysta that was a great win...but we all know what happen to hatton next fights...and joe.C hasn't even had a fight since lacy...

Well I didnt believe in The Calzaghe hype at 1st but the guy is a true Bona Fied champ and a Kingpin of his division he has beaten everyguy they put in front of him...What more can you ask of him??
Come to america Joe were I know you are not recognized and wont make the same money you would in the UK
His title run is been going 8 yrs strong remind you of some other Kingpin
I think you will see Joe pretty soon in the US regardless but you cant fault the guy for his hand injuries thats why he dosent have a scheduled fight...He had one lined up against Glen Johnson till he had to pull out with a hand injury I think your assesment of Joe Calzaghe is a bit harsh and unwarranted especially seeing his resume

hey pac is p4p better then joe.C and pac has beaten and face much better competition and he does it constantly...no complains of who his fighting how much his getting paid or nagging injuries...don't bring up pac...
I just want joe.C to come out of his woods and show the world how good he really is...if you really did knew joe.C you would of known how bad he was going to beat lacy...I'm over that fight now...Now i want to see joe.C fight more...and beat better contenders...

I like Calzaghe and also thought he was gonna lose to Lacy. I was so impressed with that performance. I have seen him a good few times and he is a great fighter. Hopefully he gets mended and fights some big fights soon as I am sure he will prove any doubters as to what he can really do. As has been said before he has beaten every person he has faced and he cant do more than that. If he doesnt get the big fights before he retires there will be question marks over the opposition I suppose, but i really believe we have seen the start of the best of Calzaghe and there is more to come.

I also thought Lacy was going to kill Joe. I was wrong. However , I dont think Joe is going to be remebered as a all time great. Noone has really even heard of him. I dont think he has enough time left to fight enough big names to be called an all time great. To bad really. I have a feeling he will end up being one of those "he could have been..........." Not his fault , but I think thats how its going to be.

Beating Lacy, does not make Calzaghe a great fighter. Especially after all the bums Calzaghe has fought before Lacy.

The fight is still impressive. Watch a replay & then watch previous Lacy fights...then watch previous Calzaghe fights.
Up & coming fighter or not...Lacy was knocking fwockers out & earning respect in the boxing world.
Calzaghe just beat him...no need in writing him off like most are doing.

Anyone who knows boxing knows that Calzaghe aint fading...you either know that...or you haven't seen Calzaghe's other fights.

Why should Calzaghe go to America, he is the champ let them come to him!! Double standards, don't rememeber andybody slating B-HOP or RJJ for not fighting in Europe !!!
+ how many people were caling Lacy a rookie before the JC fight, watch him destroy Robin Reid for example. He was America's new poster boy billed as minature Tyson, and then all of a sudden he was a nobody. He took the fight with JC too early - plain and simple, JC had been a world champ for 4 years before Lacy even turned pro!! It was a step too far too soon and he may never recover, but before the JC fight and if it hadn't happend I think Lacy could've been the real deal

Yes, but why do you think that is sir :). He never fights in America, and if he had himself a taste of that big US paycheck he'd probably never fight in Europe again. He says he wants big money, and I think he only received a million for the Lacy fight? On top of that, he's one of the greatest supermiddleweights of all time IMO and many people won't remember him that way because he never crossed the pond. Oh yeah did I mention America being boxing's epicenter? :thumb:
