i know barrera got stopped but was he winning on points at the time? and whats this i hear about a metal plate in his head

He wasn't winning on points & the metal plate was something that had been done a while ago to correct an imperfection in his noggin...not boxing related.

was it just a 1 sided beating? do you think he would ever get back in the ring with him or has he learnt his lesson? i still cant believe pacman started as a fly. if he beats morales again the only fight left for him in super feather would be juarez if he can beat barrera,if not do you think he would ever move up to lightweight?

Yeah...it was a pretty tuff beating.
There have been a shatload of talks about a rematch...but I don't know if I'd take it, were I Barrera.
I'd rather Pac stay where he is now than move up, I want to see a Juan Manuel Marquez rematch Pacquiao than I would Barrera. That was an unbelievable fight.

yeah i saw that 1. i thought marquez won that 1 actually. i heard pac man turned it down to go after morales, dont know if theres any truth in that

Pac got Barrera on a bad night . Marco hadnt really been a in any proper fights for a while he was just showcasing against guys like Tapia and Kelley whereas here he was taken by surprise by a young guy who wanted to win real bad .
He wasnt comfortable with the pace and things went from bad to worse as he got cut . We know his training was interupted in Big bear by the Forrest fires and it showed in the ring as he wasnt in his usual shape and couldnt fight with the intensity we saw against Morales .
He may have taken the job easy but if they did it again he would make that mistake

He didnt win the featherweight title or the superfeather weight title . He keeps fighting Morales but he needs to fight the champion

I don't know what your on about but Pacquiao was the featherweight champion. He relinquished that championship to move up to Jr.L. As for Pacquioa/ Barrera it was a one sided beating. Barrera got a knockdown that was clearly a slip then it was all over. manny just swarmed all over him. Barrera had the opportunity for an immediate rematch but didn't take it. If a rematch emerged I think the exact same thing would happen.

If you don't know then your part of the problem in boxing. But I'll help you out... The Ring champion. The only belt that counts. All these alphabet groups are ruining the sport. At least the ring is trying to bring some credibility back to the champions.

I dont need your help . If wana go by what a corrupt biased Yank Magazine says then thats your problem . They can promote whoever they choose but I think the fans can decide for themsleves and see who the best is out there .
They can give the ring belt to whoever they want and they do .Sometimes it may be deserving sometimes it may be BS but we can make that decison

The ring was the first place to start ranking fighter's, you use the word corrupt but I asume you follow the alphabet boys. Have a look at the ring champions & tell me they don't derseve their championships, & who you think should be champ instead. At least the Ring doesn't strip, you gotta loss you title or move up.

He was dropped 3 times(one ruled a slip) and lost every round except the first. Fight should have been stopped earlier. Barerra was open for everything that night. And then he fights Juarez and looks like it.. but Barerra fights someone twice he does better the second time usually.
