Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
Baldomir beats Margarito as easily as he beat Gatti
Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
tony by TKO in the 10th round....Both have good chins but tony has better power and throws more punches.....

Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
Margarito would outwork him, maybe stop him but if he did it would be late cause Baldomir's sturdy. Probably just a fairly clearcut UD.
If Baldomir has any advantage, maybe he has a better chin but everything else, speed, although neither are quick, power, punch output, punch variety, and probably stamina go to Margarito. Plus Baldomir's clearly been stronger than Judah and Gatti but Margarito's not a blown up 135-140 pounder like those two, he's a natural, strong welter like Baldomir.
Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
I still can't see Margarito having such a clear advantage... He seems like a reckless fighter somebody that the calm Baldomir could pick apart... Baldomir has taken shots from Judah without flinching who is a big puncher and hit him flush, and he took alot of hard shots from Gatti who hits hard for anyone under 154 IMO. Baldomir if he does go up to 190 inbetween fights could easily be as strong as Margarito who looks a lot more gangly.

Baldomir can definitely take a punch, that's why I said I think a decision is more likely. Maybe I'm still underrating Baldomir but I don't see him as the type of guy that can take somebody apart, he's just a grinder to me, I don't see him as having a slickness advantage over Margarito, neither one are very slick to me. And if Baldomir's stronger than Margarito, which I'm not sure is the case, Margarito is clearly bigger and stronger than Judah or Gatti so Baldomir wouldn't have nearly as much of an advantage there. I just think Margarito's a bit quicker, better punch output and variety, better combinations, and to me is probably a bit better boxer overall, although like I said neither seem that slick to me. I would see it as a 8-4 type Margarito decision.
Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
I don't mean like Baldomir would be able to do what Mayweather would likely do to Margarito or did to Corrales, but i mean that Baldomir would use his straighter punches to beat Margarito's looping punches to the target being slower or not. Also I doubt Margarito's punch output would be as great with somebody throwing back.

Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
Baldomir not wanting to fight Margorito has more to do with money than him being afraid of him. The two biggest paydays at 147 are PBF and Hatton. Baldomir has been boxing for a long time and I think he knows he only has a few fights left and he wants to cash in as much as he can.
I think Baldomir would KO Hatton late, I would give Margorito the edge in a fight, and PBF would just box circles around him.
Re: Margarito vs. Baldomir
Baldomer's boxing carrier ends like Jim Braddock, the true Cinderella Man. I can't wait to see this guy again to match with PBF or Margarito. I believe this guy still has a lot to show in the boxing world.
