Anyone else bored ridged with Margarito?

Margarito is a decent fighter, long reigning champion and he feels he deserves his slice of the action ($$$) Fair enough, but is anyone else bored to the back teeth with the whole 'Most feared' bullshit?

Margarito is making a bad job of forcing bigger names into the ring. You have to go back to 2000 for the last time Margarito fought more than twice in a calendar year.

Kermit Cintron at least on paper was an even match up, many predicted a win for the big punching 'Killer'(myself included if I remember rightly :-[ ) but following that, Manuel Gomez and Cosme Rivera aren't going to make anyone sit up and take notice.

Margarito isn't going to get Floyd in the ring any time soon, so he needs to shift his attention to the next guy, and if he wont fight move on to the next until sooner or later the bigger fighters hands are forced, bitching about it to any boxing website that will entertain you isn't the right way to go about it.

Margarito and Cotto are scheduled to share a ring in December, bet your last dollar it wont be at the same time ;)

I think Margarito is seriously overhyped. Cintron didn't impress much against David Estrada although it was a wildly entertaining fight and I can't really see Mayweather having much trouble with either.

I'm bored with the whole thing, bored with Margarito, bored with Floyd, somebody just needs to make a fight, I don't care if they fight each other anymore.

I like watching both guys fight but the outside the ring BS is getting tired.

Is Margarito really fighting Cosme Rivera? If so that's VERY impressive.

I don't like the "Most feared" thing. Why? Because it's only 2 people who aren't (weren't) fighting him, Zab and Floyd and both of him passed him over for bigger names. Maybe he is a little bit ducked but he isn't the most feared, Mitchell, Williams, Quintana, Smith, Ouma and Wright all want him. Doesn't sound like he is to feared :-\

I'm a fan but it is getting annoying although I think a lot of it is more Bob Arum than Margarito.

But instead of waiting and waiting and waiting, why not fight a Williams or Quintana, Ouma or even Jose Rivera?

Now maybe Arum thinks it would be better to sit tight and hope for a PBF fight, and thinks that maybe if Margarito fought one of those guys he might lose and blow it all, or that even if he won he wouldn't get much credit, especially with the younger guys. And maybe there is some truth to that, because everyone says Cintron is garbage now, but he was pretty hyped up before the Margarito fight.

But either way, he definitely won't get ANY credit fighting Cosme Rivera, and rightfully so. Its a shit move.

Either way the Floyd-Margarito talk has gone from being interesting to being very very tired. If it happens it happens.

Not really. I don't really pay attention to him. He's just an average fighter running his mouth, hoping to get paid. Happens all the time in boxing.

I agree Oumafan,I think it is more to do with Arum than anything. Margarito ahs stated that he is no longe interested in fighting Floyd,and the offer is off the table so it looks like that is done for now. And NO WAY is Tony fighting Rivera,he better not be!! I'd rather he dropped the belt than took that fight,the guys you mentioned would wincrease his credibility more. I see a Clottey fight as the most realistic,I would prefer a Collazo/Quintana fight instead.
And you hit the nail on the head...people are already discrediting a possible Clottey/Quintana match up,saying who have they beat etc etc even though they are good fighters themselves.
I still believe it to be a lose lose for Tony unfortunately.

I wouldn't say that I'd be excited to see a fight with Clottey, but the only time I've ever seen him was the other night, maybe it was an off night but he didn't really impress me much at all. Quintana's pretty good though, out of the prospects he or Williams would be the two that would make for decent fights.

Naaa,I totally disagree with Williams,I only say Tony should fight him to shut people up but in all honesty,that would prove less than it did with Cintron and I think Williams is just as green as Cintron,I mean if Mathysse could have worked on his stamina and landed those bombs all throughout the fight,he would have won. Before the Cintron fight,Kermit was the new Tito,the killer, a 1 punch KO machines,Tony annihiliates him and now it's made out as if he's a bum!

And thats what keeps the hype alive for people too blinded by Margarito to think people are actually ducking him when I remind you that Margarito could have had that HBO BAD date against Joshua Clottey.

Im still waiting for Margarito to fight the best. If its his promoter stopping it and he really wants the fights then he should make some breaks....there are other promoters out there!! ;)

TBH i enjoy watching Tony fight because he is a good fighter, however i am getting sick of all the 'most feared' bollocks becuase the simple reason that he aint got a fight with Floyd is that he isnt a big enough catch, end of.
