Concrete or wood?
yo guys i need your advice based on experience. there is a 100cm bag for a friend of mine arriving tomorrow morning at my place and i'm going to install it on his attic. now the thing is, he has both concrete and wooden beams on the attic. i'm not sure where to drill the hole for the grappel, concrete or wood?
which material will produce more vibrations and which is going to be more durable against the vibrations?
i was thinking that the hole in concrete might get messed up or something while a hole in the wood

Re: Concrete or wood?
guess it depends where you screw or drill the holes and whether the wood or concrete will crack or not, concrete is probably the best bet ive hung my bag from wood quit alot and it tends to split or make the whole thing shakey but i guess a cieling beam is stronger.... ummm
lol hows the floor up there cos it might bang? bit o carpet maybe ?? lol

Re: Concrete or wood?
Hang it from the wood. Drilling concrete with your everyday drill and bit is not an easy task. Concrete is sand and gravel glued together and will dull a bit quicker than Tyson knocked out Peter McNeilly.
if you know this and have the right eqiupment for drilling holes in concrete than I'd still hang it from the wood. I don't think the screw would take even if you weren't hanging a heavy bag.
