How to update your Winamp

If you downloaded the Forrest fight or the Uma fight and only had sound,do the following....

OK, these movies are encoded with a new encoder for Winamp which is a little bit tricky and you need a Windows OS to use it.

I suppose you know how to download the file, here's how to install the codec:

1. Install the new, X264 decoder using FFDSHOW codek-pack:

2. Copy the nsvdec_x264.dll named file in the Winamp\plugins folder:

3. Configure the FFDSHOW
- from the START menu of Windows, you need to find the codec config file (Something like: Start/Programs/ffdshow/VFW Codec configuration)
- Click the "Decoder" tab at the top
- Make sure you have 'Codecs' selected in the left
- From the list look for H.264 and right click on it
- Click "Set all stable formats to libavcodec"
- Press "APPLY" than "OK"
- Restart Windows or at least Winamp and you're ready to watch the fights

Right so ive downloaded ffdshow... Installed it...

Copied the correct file INTO the winamp plugins folder...

Ive done everything it says... And i can play mayweather baldomir.. Which is an nsv file...
But i acnt play hatton urango..Which is also nsv..
El gamo.. Could it be anything else but the fact that my winamp isnt updated..Cos ive followed these steps..

i avnt gotta clue what any of that means im a bit thick when it comes to technology. But i also get just sound with the Hatton Urango fight.

If you wana keep the fight then here is present number two..

www.keepvid.com This site has a bar in which you copy and paste the youtube url into it..
You select youtube as the source of your vid at the side...
And gives you a download of the video.. as an flv file..This should play on your vid players but if not then let me know then i'll give you something else to sort it but it should be ok..
You will have to do all 7 vids and connect them together...

If its all too much ..Then just watch it on youtube and enjoy my friend..

Sorry,just saw this thread. Guys,those steps are 100% correct and you don't need another Winamp,whichever version you obtain,you would have to make the same modifications. It took me a while too,what it is is that when I try to copy (number 2),it would not work,you have to follow it STEP BY STEP,LETTER BY LETTER. Keep trying,you guys have to get it otherwise won't be able to see fights the next night!
