Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
With the departure of Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko, the modern day heightweight division resembles the beginning of the modern era dating back to John L. Sullivan.  This era will go out in history as one of the greatest of all times.
Today's heavyweight scene is just like the end of the 19th century. The heavyweight title is not being held hostage in one country like what the Americans have been doing for about 100 years. Talent is shining all around the world.
PS
I'm sick of hearing people saying that the champions of old would destroy the "pretenders of today". Klitschko or Valuev would have destroyed Ali, Marciano, or Frazier. They might have trouble with Jack Johnson though.

Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
They are a bunch of lilly-livered, yellow bellyed, shiver-mi-timber fighters today!
:kick:
Fighters back then could lick fighters today.
Prime Gene Tunney, Jack Dempsey and Joe Bugner would beat: Sinan Samil Sam, Oleg Maskaev,
Kevin McBride, John Ruiz.
And those fighters are in the Heavyweight rankings.
:boat:
Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
Enough of that :alcoholic:...I advise you to return that before wacko finds it missing and we dont get are next RD by RD....This is a sad era for heavys and the only thing that should go on at dawn for the division is the playing of taps..Because boxings once greatest division is dead.. :fight:

Shit babe, whatever he's been drinkin...I want some of it...because it apparently alters all mental capacity & reality beyond comprehension.
Sounds like some good stuff.
Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
An excellent thread. We are, because the heavyweights are going to be physically enormous with comensurate high IQs and studied boxing skills. While many will deny this, they know it is true. Big, intelligent, articulate and, yes, Drago-like (just fictional of course). :-*

So what you are saying basically is first of all you would like to rape the poster and fuck him in his asshole, then you would like to beat him, then hump him some more, then punch him to within an inch of his life, then call him some names, give him a telling off, moon at him, tell him you want him dead, then urinate on him, give him a sad click, then jizz over his face, give him a lethal dose of laxative before finally sending him on his way by calling a fag and telling him he's a wanker?
To be honest considering the absurdity of the original post I would say he deserves all of this and then some :P
You raped and abused him, and stripped him of all dignity now hand him over to me and I'll finish the job
:stars: :badass:
:tombstone:
I think now we all feel better! ;D
Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
rotflmmfao
i think i just soiled myself
cc for the rundown!
Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
Money and un deserved egos has been the downfall of the heavyweight division. How easy is it to miss a session in the gym with several mil in the bank and a Mc Donalds round the corner doing a supersize special! Ask James Toney!!

Forgive me, but you are full of S*** ;)
Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
heavyweight fighters of the past would destory fighters of the present
Re: Are we at the dawn of the greatest heavyweight era?
the john L sullivan era is not one of the greatest boxing eras so you saying todays era is just like that one ,and saying where at the dawn of the greates era is contradicting ...nobody talks about those fighters anyore
and to say valuev would destroy those 3 is sorta just retarded ...
and i dont even know what to say about u thinking theyd have trouble w/ jack johnson
.....but just to humor me,.. WHY do u think klitschko would destroy Ali and foreman ...do u think Ali never boxed anyone 6'7??
and what do u know of jack johnsons skills and style and habits to say hed give klitschko a hard time ??but Ali wouldnt...ali had just as long of a reach as klitschko and was much faster
i would be willing to bet you READ about boxing and got sucked into the dramatics of boxing literature but dont watch it alot (howmany jack johnson fights have u seen?///what about foreman? ....all u simply have to do is watch carefully ,boxing has evolved alot in the last 100 yrs
