16 year old wants tips

Hello, Im 16 years old about to be 17. I am a female 5'9, 130 lbs.
I have no experience with boxing, but would love to learn. I am going to check out a boxing gym monday. Can anyone give me tips to maybe what i am suppose to look for? Also, is there certain things i should eat, drink, workout....ect? Please help. Thank you.

as long as you feel comfortable in the gym and the trainer gives u the right advice

and a healthy balanced diet is gd for now
