What fighter from the 60's - 80's could dominate the division today if in prime?
Who could do it? How? Why?
Foreman?
Ali?
Frazier?
Liston?
Holmes?
Patton?
etc etc etc?

Hagler. I think his style and conditioning/tenacity would overwhelm the MW division....he had the right combination of power/boxing ability/roughness/heart/CHIN to make it.....

This one is a no brainer...Anyone who knows anything about boxing knows that as far as the history of the heavyweight division goes...When you name the best to ever hold the belt you have Patton then the rest......

Do you really think Hagler could have beaten Ali or Foreman?

All kidding aside any of them could dominate you just named 5 of the top 10 greatest heavyweights ever...Ali is perhaps one of the top 5 P4P fighters ever...By Patton I assume you mean patterson...He would have the most trouble not because of anyones skill but size wise he was not a stocky heavyweight....
Foreman--Hardest hitting fighter P4P ever
Ali--Need I say more?
Liston---Vicious for any era
Frazier--More heart than any 5 HW today
Holmes--At prime would box them all into the dirt
Patterson--As long as he didnt get Valuev or anyone that big...The size would beat him not the fighter
A prime Tyson,,Gerry Cooney,,Earnie Shavers,,Jerry Quarry,,George Chuvalo,,,You mention the late 60's and the 70's you have the greatest era in HW boxing

I could absolutely see Hearns beating Calzaghe.. I could see Calzaghe beating him as well but there's no doubt Hearns would be equal in every facet and then some, in the early rounds. He would definetly need a KO but he could get it. Thommy Hearns had possibly the best right hand of all time.. Calzaghe is most vulnerable to straight right hands. Don't say you couldn't see it happening.. Because if you watched enough of Hearns I doubt that.
