At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
I think Baldomir is getting over looked or rather looked past in his up coming fight with Floyd. How are Floyd's brittle lightweight hands going to keep Baldo off him down the stretch?
If I were Mosley I would of jumped at the chance to get PBF he going to be kicking himself if the pretty boy loses! ;D

I wouldn't think it wise to put any money on Baldomir no matter what odds he is.
He's durable but so is a punch bag and that is what he will be for 12 rounds.
Floyd UD 119-109
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
I see it the same way. Baldo wins 3 rounds tops, but I wouldn't be remotely surprised if PBF took all 12.
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
I actually think Baldomir could be stopped in the late rounds.
I know he can take a punch but so can Mayorga and top offensive fighters like Tito and De La Hoya soon broke him down.
I wouldnt be suprised if hes saved by the ref after 7 or 8 rounds.

Cept he ain't got the punch of el matador. I don't really care for Baldomir but he has heart, decent power, and durability. He will be the first real 147 lber Floyd has ever faced, and Baldomir has done well against two other 140lb stars. Still I agree that he just isn't talented, or active enuff to do much more than win a few rounds and possibly rock PBF. I'm glad Floyd came to his senses and chose to fight Baldomir instead of Spinks. Baldomir is certainly the more worthy and legit champ of the two. :)
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
Baldo may cause PBF problems in the odd round, probably at the beginning of the fight, but I except Floyd ton win alot of the later rounds on his way to a big UD. I can't eve say Baldo has a puncher's chance because he hasn't got that much power either. He's average in all areas and that is not good enough to beat someone like Floyd.
I'd REALLY like to see him land but I don't even know if that would phase Floyd....I mean some of these 140 pounders, when hit by a natural WW have been hurt,Hatton,Gatti so who knows.

Very intresting odds 8)
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
I see this being a Pernell Whitaker type shut out to where PBF wins every round but I believe that this will be the hardest he has ever been hit and this guy will take his punch better than anyone else, he will have second thoughts on moving to 154 after the fight, make Oscar come to 147.
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
I baldo the biggest guy (at natural weight) that Floyd has fought, I know he's definately not the tallest, but raw mass wise I think he is the biggest guy.
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
People seem for get that Floyd is fast but not strong. His punches only work in close range where he lands his combonations and steps to the side afrter. Baldomir knows how to cut off the ring well, and i think people will be surprised how ineffective floyd will be in this fight backing up. I dont think he is going to take well to Baldomirs relentless style. If Baldomir gets rought with Little Floyd he will beat him and can even decision him (close).
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
Zab was beating up Baldomir pretty good before he got Lazy, don't expect Floyd to take his foot off the pedal like Judah
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
My point is that Baldo should be running at around $3.50 not $6.50 as at this particular site ;)
I don't think we have hit our quota for major upsets yet this year. ;D
Floyd should keep moving and pick Baldomir apart but just like most other boxers that move up in weight he is planting his feet more. Is it not feesable that he just has a bad night? maybe sits in the pocket and hurts his hand on this guys huge head? looks past Baldo and consequently doesn't put in enough at the gym to sustain Baldomir's body work? :-\

I totally agree. ;D Imagine what Oscar and Shane will be saying to each other when they see this apparently unbeatable boxer getting hammered to the body by the mediocre Baldomir ;D
Shane: i bags fighting him 1st
Oscar: no i want him 1st
Shane: I said it first
Oscar: I'm your boss
Shane: Don't make me beat your azz a 3rd time!
Oscar: WINKY Shane's picking on me again!!
;D
Re: At $6.50 Baldomir is the smart money
Baldomir is a big 147, but doesnt have the skill for Floyd. Floyd shouldn't go anywhere near 154, at least not for a year or two, but I can't agree that Baldozar is going to show him that. Baldozar will not win this fight, simply because Floyd will train and concentrate on Baldomir because he knows a win will give him the "true" 147lb champ title. Bring on the next fight.

i dont think it will be a problem if he wears those big, puffy marshmellow looking gloves like he had in the judah fight (they looked like novelty gloves compared to judahs eventhough they weigh the same)
but i see your point, this was the first thing that crossed my mind when the fight was announced
