My review of Clottey v Baldozar
I just acquired a copy of this fight and although I'll probably change this,I'll give a quick run down on how I saw the fight.
I know peeps will say this fight was a long time ago but trust me,Baldo is 10000% identical, chugging forward, walking through punches, throwing punches back, which are at times wide, and he was missing alot on this one and being countered.
Anyway,I had Clottey up by 3 rounds and all 3 judges had him ahead too with Baldo needing knockdowns to catch up. In the 10 th round,Clottey was docked 2 points I think for head butting, and general dirty tactics. In the 11th,he was dqed, headbutting again,a large gash had opened on Baldo.
I was very impressed with Clottey and I think Floyd will have an easier night than I originally thought. Clottey was countering Baldo alot, used LOTS of faints and leads, uppercuts on the inside and took alot of Baldo's shots on the gloves, he even shook Baldo in the 10 if I remember correctly. Baldo's punches did not really have an effect on Joshua, and there were some really good exchanges. However,Clottey is also dirty and was constantly holding and hitting, headbutting, arm across Baldo's fact etc! So Tony needs to be aware! He also has decent D although I think he is open to the body and Margarito should be able to overwhelm him with leather. As for Floyd Baldo,as much as I'd want Baldo to win,I really like the guy but Floyd will be too much although I don't see a stoppage or aynthing,he's TOUGH. His punches can be blocked or just dodged,He's open to leads as his hands are low and Clottey's jab was also landing!
There's my take on the fight,BLOODY HARD to find but a good fight!
Re: My review of Clottey v Baldozar
Yeah bro Clottey was kicking a** against Baldomir. I think this will be one of Margarito's toughest fights, I wouldn't be surprised with an upset. As for Floyd/ Baldomir, Carlos gets a boxing lesson.

CC to Phenom for that perspective.
I agree this will be an easy one for Floyd. I noticed during Baldo-Gatti (which is the only baldomir fight i've seen) that it seems like Baldo throws a lot of arm punches and I was suprised to see the effect it had on Gatti. I think the KO was due more to Gatti being a few days past fresh than having any indication of baldomir's "power" which a lot of people were saying that pbf was going to have a problem with. Keep in mind Baldo has a VERY low KO % and yes he is big, and the only thing I worry about is Floyd breaking a damn hand on him. Which if I can find lines of Floyd breaking a hand I will definitely take them! Floyds going to come into the ring that night wearing pillows on his hands.
I don't think he'll KO baldomir but I think baldo's face is gonna look a mess after this fight.

Personally...I think that Baldomir is going to be a totally different Baldomir than what you saw against Clottey.
The man is determined & he just whipped the shit out of two game fighters...also...he hasn't been beaten in a long loooooooooooooong time.

Like I said Wack,he has EXACTLY the same style.the only difference being that he is REALLY confident at the moment. He is also unbeaten because he has not fought someone as dangerous as Clottey since.
CC back Dasamm!
