Ok this is spam really but I need advice and I want you guys to see it

I've been selling boxing dvd's on ebay for a couple months, and doing suprisingly well. Everyone who has bought from me loves them and says I make the best discs on eBay which is probably true as most people just seem to ship them in a plastic sleeve.

Anyhoo I know eBay arn't too keen on this sort of thing so don't want to be selling on there for long. I have enough customers to consider making a website of my own but am completely flumoxed as to how to go about it.

I see there are a couple of such sites that have links off of this site so am wandering what you guys think?

Is it really illegal, will I get caught? Will Don King come over to the UK and bust my ass?

I don't really want to go to jail, nor be somebody's bitch but I do like the extra £500 a month or so, so I think it's worth a try.

I'm not going to be advertsing the site at all, it's just for existing customers so that I'm away from eBays prying eyes.

Do you think this should be ok?

the guy i buy from has been selling for at least a year and he never got caught yet!!
i would advise only to put up3 or so for sale at a time, or maybe have seperate usernames to sell others so that if you get busted u can be like its jus a one off and first time kinda thing...
and also!! you got any copy's of mab or erik morales careers? if so how are the quality of the earlyer fights and are there many in that are in a different language lol? cheers

so rather than having a site for all to view

why not do it via email, get a sending list and each week send them mail telling them wats new ???

You should make your own website...find a free host. There's tons out there.

You should be okay...but go about it like this...set your site up & "trade" fights among collectors. Understand?

Your'e not technically selling the fights...your'e trading them among other boxing enthusiasts.

The money comes later for shipping the fights at $9.95 each disc or $39.95 for career sets...seeing as they weigh more. ;D

I wish it were that easy. I think most people like to buy something an official way through a shopping cart rather than just hand over money based on an email.

I've certainly got a few customers who would buy that way but the majority wouldn't I don't think.

My plan is to email them (as I am doing) once a week telling them of the fights that weekend and what I'm covering, followed by a link to my website where they can purchase it. Currently I'm linking to my eBay auctions but I don't really want to be advertising on eBay for long.

I think if I say I'm offering this, for this weekend just send me a fiver and I'll post it out to you, the majority arn't going to go for that.

I get that a lot too... :P people can be arsed to post and say 'CC' but not to press the back button/find another one of your posts and actually give you one...
