I always find it hard to compare early century boxers with latter day boxers because the styles were so different from then till now. Where Demsey's style was more wide open and flawed (as compared to more modern boxing styles) you could say any type of boxing technician would be able to box and move Dempsey till he fell over. IMO.
dempsey wouldnt have fought frazier because he is black---thats y dempsey looses points on the all time great list--and the fact he defended his title like once every 3 yrs--so he was practically retired. but frazier would ko dempsey in 7
