Not Just the Fight....

I think the reason I loved the Oscar De La Hoya fight so much this year, despite The Golden Boy putting on a master class, was the way the fight was promoted.

Both did there bit, Mayorga maybe outshining Oscar in the promoting, ;D, but everything surrounding the match made me love it.

The way the TV broadcast the fight, the interviews.

I find all that part of it, really really exciting.

I mean you take Hatton v Collazo, I was excited but no OVERLY excited, same as Vargas v Moseley.

But when Morales v Pacman comes, I know the buzz, and excitement is going to be huge....

Promoting the fight does pay, for me anyway...

Yeah the Mayorga Oscar fight was a great promotion, I too love Mayorgas smack talk, just a shame he couldnt back it up in the ring.

Actually thinking about it that was the best promoted fight this year,

Hands down thee best.

During the fight, it was said:

no one promotes theyr own fight better than mayorga... hes a total wa*ker...but you know hes entertainin.....

lol jim lampley often says his promotion and interviews are tysonesk usually followed by if only they were in english!! lol
