Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
I would be very suprised if Calzaghe could of beat Watson... let alone stopped him in 10.

yep just put it up here see what u guys thought of it
Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
in the two Eubank fights. Watson's skill and work-rate saw him dominate the first encounter
I almost choked on my coffee reading that. Eubank won the first six rounds easily (before running of out strength due to losing 19lbs in four days), making Watson look average.
Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
its stupid when he says watson style is similar to woodhall and even though watson was class up on woodhall he would still get stopped in the 10th  ??? not this again watt :( i dont agree eubank won first 6 rounds and i think if u asked alot of people they wouldnt agree
Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
It's very easy to get carried away over Joe Calzaghe and say he can't be beaten by any one from 160 to 175 pounds... it's just not true though... the Lacy fight was a good performance... but people need to stop judging fighters on just their last fight...
Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
Michael Watson (and even Nicky Piper) outboxed Benn
Whaaat? I saw this fight again the other night on boxing classic and Benn gave him Nicky a systematic beatdown, if anything Benn was out-boxing Nicky - constantly causing Nicky to paw his punches the way Benn would move his upper body from side to side and regularly hitting his solar plexus with full bodyweight into it to gradually grind him away and slow him down to pedestrian pace for the big finish. Benn barely wasted a shot and showed some pretty good technical skill.

I cant see a problem with Calzaghe getting the nod over all of the above. As good as they were I think Joe has a little something over all of them.

Not sure about that
current form is about as good a guide as you can get
But if that BBC bloke was judging Calzaghe by his last fight it would of been Miguel Angel Jimenez ;)
Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
i think watson and graham would be calzaghes toughest fights out of them lot

Agreed - Calzaghe fought beautifully against Lacy and has had some terrific performances but he's never beaten a top p4p fighter in the kind of shape to see just how good he is. A fight against someone like Taylor or (even at 41) Hopkins is necessary for him to put any doubt away.
Re: calzaghe vs watson benn eubank graham collins see how bbc thought he would fare
taylor has still got unfinished buisness at middleweight and hopkins is retired
