yes tarver is annoying BUT

wouldnt it be great if we had more fighters like him, in tearms of who take the big fights....
if you look at the start of his career he fought a guy who was 4-0-0
then he went on to fight a few fighters who were with losing records, and a few with records such as 20-5 or 29-8, thats nothing bad.
he avenaged his first loss
and his second
and his third
and is now trying to do it to his fourth
he has had 8 title fights
been a champion, and an undisputed one
and hes only had 28 fights.

so yes he is a total cock but id like to see mroe fighters taking the same career path as him, and he probably only mouths off as much as he does , so he can get these fights, like he said recently, he hasnt had a tune up fight in so so long, and thats good to see.

I think a lot of people miss the point of Tarver based on their hatred for the man. Trust me...I loathe him.

I hate him for what he did against Jones...but Tarver is a good fighter...in hind sight.

But I think that he's done his do's in boxing...so fwockin him...let him fight Hopkins again...& let him lose badly.

I for one would love it...but it's a shame that he let his mouth ruin things.

I don't hate him for beating Roy...that was more Roy's fault than anything...point is he didn't deserve a shot at Roy to begin with!

And even leaving that out he talked shit ALL THE TIME...after he won, after he lost, when he wakes up, in his sleep...all that ugly mother fucker does is talk shit, he's a skinny James Toney with no Talent and a Milk Dud for a head!!!

I don't agree,I think he is an ok fighter,he got schooled in his last fight,was 1-1 with Johnson,the only real decent challenge(RJJ was pathetic in their fights except the first mabye) and considering those points,he has an awfully loud mouth. He was put in his place by B Hop,en of. Why would he want a rematch,why would Hop give him one? He has limited boxing skills too so I really don't think he is that good anyway but his personality makes him even more obnoxious!

Actually...he was more deserving of a shot at Roy than anyone at 175lbs. He picked up Roy's titles (That Jones vacated when he moved up to fight Ruiz) by beating Griffin. He had also TKO'd Harding, another one of Jone's victims.

There was a lot of history between Jones & Tarver...& had the fight happened years ago or before Jones jumped to 199 or 200lbs...Tarver most likely woulda had his ass handed to him...but I believe that Tarver beat Jones 3 outta 3...& that's hard for me to say being a huge Jones fan.

Tarver's got talent...the problem is...he's got more mouth.

i mean tarver just has a personality u love to hate. he is just annoying and abnoxious. atleast ALI was smooooooth and original, and charming, tarvers just an ugly kid who tries to hard to be smooth. after rocky flops he may seriously go on a downward spiral. its sad ::**

i do admit he is annoying as hell but he did beat roy jones jr and you must have a skill to do that

Actually RJJ looked a hell of a alot better during their 2nd fight, until Tarver landed that punch Jones looked much sharper and was outboxing him with ease.

Even that thought P4P,I'm sure if I remember correctly,it literally was a lucky punch,he was looking away or had his eyes closed or something.

u cant say for sure if he would of outboxed him for full fight remember fight only went 2 rounds ;)

yeah you cant really say that based on one round maybe tarver was just warming up but all in all he beat jones 2 out of 3 oh can some one post a vid of jones tarver3 of jones getting rocked :'( roy your still the best

I would watch a million more Tarver fights, if he gets KO'd everytime........CALLING ALL 168-175 POWER PUNCHERS!!!
