Future Boxing Hall Of Famer Kostya Tszyu will study martial arts at the Institute of Physical Culture, Social Services and Tourism at Urals State Technical University in Russia. Tszyu tried to enter this university twenty years ago but failed to pass the entry exam. This time, the former boxing champion was enrolled without any exams, he just had to pass an interview. Tszyu will be completing much of the work at home in Australia as a distance learning student. Tszyu, who was born in the small town of Serov in the Urals region, won a number of amateur championships, including European titles in 1989 and 1991 and also captured the Goodwill Games championship in Seattle. Kostya won the amateur world championship in Australia in 1991. Over his entire career, the boxer has had 282 fights and won 270 of them. When Tszyu won the 1991 amateur world championship in Sydney, Australian promoter Bill Mordey made him offer to become a professional boxer and to live and box in Australia. Tszyu agreed and the rest is history. Tszyu became unified champion in the 140 pound division - winning the WBC, WBA and IBF titles. He lost his world (IBF) title to Ricky Hatton on June 5, 2005.

he should stay retired from the boxing game...enjoying martial arts and dancing...and hell even cooking lessons if he wish so.

He has had a great career...One of the top 140lb fighters in the history of the division...Enjoy life after retirement. He didn't take to much abuse in the ring he has money and a legecy...Get while the gettin is good
