Jim watts doesn't know S**t?????

this has been a long time coming for me, this idot imo is like WTF how can he be actualy freakig paid to do what he does...

sorry for non brits you mith wonder what the hell i am on about; but Jim watts is a who us britts have to listen to during boxing fights on Sky, (sky is like the sports netowrk of the UK something like HBO i would gues?)

ok, credit where credit is due tonight finaly he give the win to the right winner for a freaking chance (they guy who beat barios to drunk to spell his name) but i shit you not this is like what? the first world title fight in the last 10? that he has actualy given the win to the same person the judges or the majority of peopel thought win? and this frekaing a$$hole gets paid to talk sh*t for us to listen to? i mean fuck he scored the fight 118-110 what fight was that idiot watching????

yes yes i know im ranting but screw it' i love boxing but it isn't half as good on mute, i pay good money for Sky so i can watch boxingm and jimm the a$$shite watts totaly ruins it for me and this is the only place i know where i can bitch about it!

It sounded ridiculous because of his wanky scottish accent but who is he to make assesments of peoples character, hes there to do a bad job of commentating on boxing not influence peoples judgement with his crap

When he was slating Hatton during the Tszyu fight. Very negative commentator. Compared to the other version's - sky's sucked because of him.

On the official DVD they use a different commentator - which says it all.

Froch V Magee - Jim Watt did more whingeing about Carl Froch and his defence that what was actually occuring in the fight. Every 30 seconds.

He was ranting so much, that in the post-fight interview immeadiately after, Carl Froch was asked 'how well did you think tonightCarl?' - and Froch replied "Ask bloody Jim Watt - he always seems to think he knows what he talks about!" - Froch gave Jim the evil eye - jim watt then scurried away.

I thought the Cobra was going to flatten him there and then ;D

Pickering is not just upset at his performance. He found comments made by Jim Watt during Sky's coverage of the fight hurtful.

“Even though this was the third defence of my European title, all I got from Jim was bad comments. After the second round he was very derogatory. At one point he was talking about Michael Hunter and even said ‘we',” he added.

“He didn't have anything positive to say. If I was boxing cutely I was being too negative, if I came forward I was fighting Hunter's sort of fight. He was itching out of his pants to make negative remarks. It has happened before, like when I beat Brian Carr and Mike Deveney in Scotland. He has never had one good thing to say about me.

“I have never spoken to the guy, so I don't know why he has got such a problem with me. Is it my style, or because I have won a couple of times in his country? I know boxing is not all about coming across as a nice person, but he is a former world champion and in a privileged and powerful position as a commentator, so people will listen to what he has got to say, particularly those who don't understand the sport fully.

“I welcome constructive criticism, I don't mind that at all and I will listen to some of what he said, but I think he was totally over the top. That is why I am coming out and saying these things. I want to say them to him directly and have even had my number passed to him by another Sky presenter, but he hasn't been man enough to call me.

“If you listened to Jim Watt, Michael Hunter is going to be a world champion in 12 months time and I will be dead and buried in the gutter. But we will see, things will come full circle.”

Watt was always negative about Eubank during commentary, but very positive about Benn.

I remember the Hatton/Thaxton fight and after Ricky got cut, Watt said "Ricky just has to do what he always does, what he can only do, put his hands over his face and charge in" or some S***, but then after the co-commentator mentioned that Ricky was a bronze medalist at the Junior World's, Watt suddenly changed his tune and started saying how Ricky's technique was something special.. I just found it quite funny.

he pisses me off aswell. its just the way he always coments on whats not happening instead of comentating on what is happening (if that makes sence). he always says shit like blah blah needs to do this, or blah blah isnt doing that. tosser! and the way he always says 'punches'. he says it like 'puncheeees'. pisses me off.

I agree I can tolerate Ian Dark and Barry Mcguinan is a character and tells it how it is 99% of the time...

Duke Mcenzie's scoring can be laughable at times though... ;) only fight he judges right was Joe C and Jeff Lacy and that wasn't exactly hard... :P

i'll tell you what. darkey is your man. he knows his shit. i got the tape of the naz v kevin kelly fight, and ricky hatton's on the undercard. its at madison square garden and hattons a 19 year old spotty little prospect. its only his 2nd pro fight but ian darke saying 'this kid is going to be a world champ.'

Does any one else here think of Alan Partridge when they hear Jim Watt speak?
