FLOYD MAYWEATHER TO BARE HIS "SOUL" ON NEW SPORTS SERIES—SOUL OF A CHAMPION—DEBUTING TONIGHT ON CABLE NETWORK VERSUS

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 26, 2006) – Pound-for-pound boxing king, "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather will kick-off a who's who list of world class athletes featured on a new television series presented by USA Today, "Soul of a Champion," airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET on the cable network Versus (formally OLN). The 10-week series—that in each episode will explore "what drives" the world's greatest competitors—will debut with a profile of 28-year old Mayweather, followed in subsequent episodes by other great champions including Mariano Rivera, Tom Brady, Martina Navratilova, Martin Brodeur, Jeff Gordon and Bob Knight.


Mayweather and the other champions were selected for the series by USA Today writers based on their unique contributions of success and persona to their sport. Other criteria included such themes as competitiveness, confidence and composure, to find a common thread onto the true "soul" of a champion.


"It's an honor to be chosen for the series and I am glad I am going first too," said Mayweather. "To be named with these other great champions and represent the sport of boxing for everyone to see is a fantastic honor."


Floyd Mayweather is set to face WBC Welterweight Champion Carlos Manuel Baldomir Saturday, November 4 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. "Pretty Risky" is presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions in association with Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

It's on OLN there was boxing on right before it. On 9 pm est... didnt know I had the channel til I checked and I did!

THEY just had Arum on the show in an interview saying FLOYD ducked Margarito!!! WHAT FREAKIN BS! Floyds gonna beat that sucka down someday!

so i guess that hes now implying that MARGARITO is the best fighter since ali ::**

Haha, yeah...he sticks to his guns...doesnt miss a chance to try and make a fight! Was kind of dissapointed in the documentary..only a half hour long and didn't say/show anything about PBF that isn't already known though. Mayweather really doesn't consider losing an option and he trains HARD! Goes running in jean and timberlands in the middle of the night after going to a club, lol..
