Ok, he was stopped by Vitor but that was before he could do anything and I thought it was premature. But MAAAAAAAAAAANNNN! Crocop owned him, the first fight was a classic this one was ownage. A fighter at Mirko's level and he still is improving wow Scary.
I too was impressed with the ease Mirko seemed to have in beating him. It should be pointed out that Wandy isn't a legit HW though.
He's definately not a HW, but it really doesn't matter. Mirko is the Dan Marino of MMA. He's friggin amazing, but has nothing to really show for it. He is probably THE most talented striker to ever grace MMA. His punches are strong, fast and accurate. Lord knows his kicks are almost unmatched among any in the sport. Every fight of his is a Highlight reel. And his takedown defense is on par with Lidell's.
I love Fedor, but I genuinely hope that CroCop beats him to become the Ray Borque, not Dan Marino, of MMA.

I would too, and I think that Mirko came the closest I've seen to beating Fedor. Fujita came close with that wild swing, but that was a complete fluke and he really had no chance otherwise. I wouldn't be surprised to see CroCop win at all.
But as far as the Randleman fight goes, now thats what I call a fluke. CC got caught coming in by a TERRIBLE overhand that just happened to get him just the right way. From there, he was done. The quick GnP was just an afterthought.
Not just improvement, but finishing off Barnett and Silva in one night the way he did has to of skyrocketted his confidence. It's something that I doubt too many people have had after witnessing the match with Fedor/Nogueira. Even money? I'm still not sold on that yet since Fedor is so effective with submissions and his stamina has never been an issue as it has been with Mirko.

wanderlei was way too careless, if only he fought him like he did his first time, they only reason it was a draw was because there were no judges

Wandy really should have watched the Fedor tapes.....
I know Wandy is not a legit heavy but he still should have employed the strategy that both Fedor and Mark Hunt capitalized off of...............pressure pressure pressure.

Haha...if I remember correctly, Hunt's strategy was eat the high kick and not get fazed by it, then slug him. (Didn't work so hot in K1, but he wasn't even hurt by it then, just knocked over)
True but if you rewatch the fight you will see a lot of CRO cop back-pedalling because Mark kept pursuing him.
That made Cro-cop look bad and it did prevent him from being as effective. As a matter of fact, someone made a funny video of this on You Tube, don't know if it's still there or not.
Don't get me wrong, Cro cop is 20x the fighter than Hunt, but when you come forward on CC and avoid block his punches (eg Fedor) you stand a much better chance of winning.
I agree 100%. If you can neutralize his Left High Kick, you've just about already won, as long as you avoid getting KOd by his left hand. Basically, don't become a Bob Sapp :P
