Who could have beat Lopez?
I was just thinking about Ricardo Lopez & how good he was. Who do you think would have defeayed him. I would have loved to see him step up against Morel but think he would have wons there to, Alvarez 3 would have been interesting but again I go with Lopez. Cabajal & Gonzalez would have been great battles but I still think Ricardo would have emerged victorious.
Who could have gotten the job done?

One of my all time favorites
Hard to say, as good as he was his competition can be criticized, compared to the greats, just cause there wasn't a whole lot of great guys he could have fought. He was better than Alvarez, would have schooled Carbajal, Gonzalez is tougher but I still think he would have won. Present day he's too good for Calderon, and I really like Calderon. Cazares and Viloria too.
At flyweight, and that would have been a big jump, all time there's guys like Miguel Canto and Pancho Villa, but I've never seen them fight so I won't comment. Today there's guys like Parra, Vic, Arce even though he moved up. Maybe that would be too much weight I don't know. At 105-108 he's tough to beat, fantastic skills.

Completely agree. He beat everyone they put in his face and I think he beat everyone he could have beaten in his time, as I think back during his reign I don't see anyone beating him. Even at Light Fly 'Finito' was just simply majestic, never lost his patience and always was one step ahead truly.

Yeah bro the guy had skills, every punch was perfect text bok stuff, & his combos were flawless. The only weakness I saw in him as a fighter was his skin, tended to cut quite easily.
I have seen Calderon & think the comparisons between the two are just. But Lopez' punch was a lot harder.

Forgot to mention also that he would have made both Carbajal & Gonzalez look like amateurs. 8)

I think even up to fly if he could carry the weight he dominates the likes of Canto & Perez
