Attention All United States Amateur Fighters!!!!!!
This may not matter to those who do not take boxing seriously or not trying to make Olympics, but the National date was change from Jan 26 to the first 2 weeks of June. They change the date because 07 is an Olympic year and since it was push back the qualifications have change and the qualifications are you have to win one of the following tournaments.......
National Pal Championships(Oct 1-7 2006),
Armed Forces Championships (Dec 11-16,2006),
Eastern Regional Trails (Mid-April 2007),
Golden Gloves Championship (April 30-may 05,2007),
Western Regional Trails (2nd week May 2007),
Midwestern Regional Trails (3rd week May 2007)
Then you have the 2007 National Championships and you have to make it to the quarterfinals to advance to the Olympic box offs and on a side note The Champions of Pal Games, Golden Gloves, and Armed Forces Will Be Placed in the Quarterfinals of the Nationals tournament
The Push back is good and bad, it is bad for me because I just wanted to go to the National in Jan and rest for awhile then get ready for Golden Gloves but then it is good for others cause it gives them time to get serious and train.
Now it will be rude for me not to introduce myself they call me the Souljah and The New Breed I am not an average boxer I have spared and got the best of pros like Mitchell and Mark too sharp Johnson cause I am from D.C So I sparred pros from D.C. I missed the Nationals last year due to a fractured hand. I box at 165 and only one boxer got the best of me and it was Gary Russel Jr who is also from D.C and he also beats up on Pros you can check him out here http://www.usaboxing.org/86_1406.htm.
Me and him got into it cause he was being cocky and I got tired of it so I called him out and if you follow amateur boxers you will know that Him and Raushee Warren are the only 2 to bring home a medal from MIANYANG CITY, CHINA ( but I do not want to talk about that cause U.S.A got blasted being over there in china.)
if you want to read the changes look here http://www.usaboxing.org/nationalsdatechange.pdf
If you have been bsing when came to boxing here is your chance to make something of it.

Well I take training seriously and if they are not on top of there A game I will pick them apart. I am waiting for the olympics that is the only reason why I have not turned pro yet. They do not call me a Souljah :army: or The New Breed :badass: for nothing. I am a Hybrid fighter but I let my actions speak louder than words I got alot of fights on tape, but can someone tell me how to put vids on the computer from a cam corder?

Do you know Ricanpowerchamp? He used to post on here regularly but stopped I think because he went to the states to take up boxing for real.
He was Puerto Rican and got into boxing pretty much for the same reasons as you outlined, people being cocky and he decided to teach them a lesson.
He fought mostly in undergound events I think but was apparently a real monster for his weight and was knocking out guys 3 and 4weight divisions above him.
I can't remember his real name but I'm sure you may have heard of him anyways by his nickname. If you come across him say hello on behalf of all of us, would be great to hear that he was still doing well and kncoking out the bigger guys.
Re: Attention All United States Amateur Fighters!!!!!!
Yeah I heard of rican never seen him but I have heard of him. One of my friends who use to post on here told me about this site, but I didn't really care to much about it untill he told me about a girl on here who went by the name of Purist (or something) who was beating up on male boxers ( or something like that) and I wanted to see if it was true. So I was scaning the board but I did not see anyone by the name of Purist(I think he lied), but I did find people who knows boxing so I was going to join a good 4 months ago but boxing takes up 99.99% of my life so I could never get around to it. I really do not know If I will be able to keep this up, but I love to talk boxing.
Yeah but Rican he has a good rep, Does anyone else on this board box? and I don't mean go to a gym for 6 months and claim that you are boxer, I mean truly truly taken up the lifestyle of boxing.
Re: Attention All United States Amateur Fighters!!!!!!

Glad to hear you have heard of him, often wondered what happened to him. He was a regular daily poster on here but then disappeared.
I don't box myself, just an armchair fain but I know a few guys on here do. Probably more likely to see them in the training section maybe...

Purist goes by 'Starr' now thats her new name, she also known as 'Girl on the toilet' ;D
As far as her beating up on male boxers not sure if she even BOXES I know she said she used to train but she doesnt really talk about it.
Anyway....
Welcome aboard and hopefully you stick around to meet Violent Demise you'll become good friends with him. ;)
