Floyd Mayweather Jr disses Sugar Ray Leonard

a recent article by Brian Doogan for the Times Online, Doogan quotes Sugar Ray Leonard from a recent boxing awards dinner in Vegas. Sugar Ray, talked openly about the way Floyd Mayweather Jr., acted and treated him at the event.

The Legendary Sugar Ray said he was approached by Mayweather Jr., and Mayweather Jr. began to berate him for losing to a lightweight (another legend, Roberto Duran) when he was in his prime. Sugar Ray recalls at that time smiling

Sugar Ray had compliments and strong advice for Mayweather Jr., adding: “Of all the fighters today, I have to say that Mayweather reminds me the most of me. The kid has every gift and physical attribute, but if he continues to be the type of person he is, he’ll never be up there with us. He’ll never make it."
