Isn't anyone excited about Cintron and Suarez???
I believe that this will be one of the fights of the year!! Both guys possess size, strength, power and they seem to dislike each other! Maxboxing is the only place showing this fight,if I could order it,Iwould!! And don't be surprised if Suarez wins although I want Cintron to win.I hope this tunrs out to be as good as everyone hopes!
Re: Isn't anyone excited about Cintron and Suarez???
sucks that it's not televised. I think it will be a very good fight. I have never seen Suarez, so I am only going off what I read. I have to lean towards Cintron, he's pretty good and I haven't ever seen the other guy.
Re: Isn't anyone excited about Cintron and Suarez???
Well CC bro for having heard of it,most peeps haven't,I think it is one of the problems with boxing today! A fight like this, potentially explosive yet no one has heard of it yet we have tripe like Maskaev Rahman etc etc on PPV. In fact,I would much rather see this, the first Adamaek Briggs war,and Monshipour Sithchatchawal (2 other fights not many peeps saw but are fight of the year contenders) than most PPV's this year!
As for Suarez,I have not seen him but have read ALOT about him,6 foot, busy power puncher, lost 2 close fights, willing to take a punch, very hard nosed and possibly another gem in this awesome WW division! I agree with the Kermit statement,he has been working with Emmanuel Steward,it should do him good!
Re: Isn't anyone excited about Cintron and Suarez???
IMO it will be a good fight but I don't think either deserve a title.....just IMO

OK first reason is Suarez isn't really even a top 20 fighter...Can you name 3 of his 27 opponents off the top of your head?
Second is After the showing and beating he took in the Margarito fight IMO how about a few good wins beside over David Estrada and a 12-5 Fransisco Parra before getting another shot at a supposed WORLD TITLE...Hell even Cotto should get a shot at a belt before Cintron...At least Cotto is a former champ who gave his up and wasn't beaten for it

Well, fair enough, you make very valid points as per usual but I mean, isn't it for the IBF? The same IBF that let Zab keep the belts after he lost to Baldo, and the same IBF that stripped JMM even though he never lost the belts in the ring? Anyone know who the other contenders are? Cotto is fighting for the vacant WBA title I believe?

I owe you a CC in 24 on those points ( just got ya on the other thread)...I don't take stock in half these damn ABC title decisions those guys in power there are the biggest idiots in boxing I include all 4 WBC, WBA,IBF and WBO in that statement;...I try to go by ring for titles but we have no choice but to recognize the ABC titles....yeah IMO the belt should have gone vacant after ZAB lost to Baldo but because Carlos could not afford the fee's he was screwed. Again like I said a buch of idiot's...forget who is best let's just go for the money!!!!
Yeah I do believe you are right about Cotto and the WBA belt...I was just using him as an example...
Re: Isn't anyone excited about Cintron and Suarez???
Yeah,I made a thread about Ring mag and although it has it's criticisms, the guys that responded persuaded me to see the light and I think that is the best organisation. No sanctioning fees either and only 1 true champ, makes it much easier! I know Calzaghe appreciated the belt they gave him and said it was the best belt, now if only more fighters took this route,we could get rid of some more of these micky mouse alphabet soup organisations with their ridiculous super champ and interim champ nonsensical frauds in order to gain more $$$>dogs!
This fight will be awesome though,I know it!
