Re: Start boxing tomorrow...
Good to hear that m8.
You will be nervous, everyone is on there first day, its like starting a new school again.
Took me 3 months to get the courage to walk into my first thai boxing gym.
Good luck ;)

If my trainers think that I'm good enough to actually fight after I've trained for a while, I would certainly welcome the opportunity.
So, first day is tomorrow. For some reason I'm actually quite nervous.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know.
best of luck.

Re: Start boxing tomorrow...
Thanks to everyone for the encouragement.
Can anyone tell me what I might expect on my first day? I don't even have any idea what the workout will consist of.
Re: Start boxing tomorrow...
well, you'll likely learn that you know less that you thught you did... and uh... ;D
seriously, you'll start with basic footwork and stance. it's a slow process but highly addictive.
Re: Start boxing tomorrow...
Well, my first boxing session is over.
I realized a few things: 1) there is actually a special way to skip - five double foot, five single foot, five other foot, five alternating; 2) punching nothing at all is quite tiring; 3) the speed bag is infinitely harder than it looks - I wasn't able to figure it out at all yet.
All in all though, great first day.
Re: Start boxing tomorrow...
Keep the smile happening, enjoy, breathe, move, relax and lookout! duck, block, move out the way of those, keep them gloves up for while yet ,thats it.
Good luck. ;)
