Another new opponent for Tua?
Friday, November 3 2006
Heavyweight David Tua is still without an opponent for Friday night in New York City. Thus far, bouts with Kelvin Davis, Ross Puritty and now Abraham Okine have fallen through, Okine having apparently failed his medical. Promoter Cedric Kushner is now reportedly trying to bring in Maurice Wheeler (10-8-1) as a late sub.

Re: Another new opponent for Tua?
Sorry i don't know how to include previous quotes but to the esteemed gentleman who picked TUA to come back and dominate the HW division. One question, with all due respect........were...you...on....crack? LOL
I think hes just too slow, plodding, short and really has one weapon, the one big looping left hook. Good or great left hookers are more elusive bobbers with quick hooks from odd angles (Tyson) or guys who are very busy and relentless persuers who bust you down with their money punch (smokin joe). Maybe Ive just never been able to forgive him for the poor lewis performance that really showed his limitations. But still,..... he does wear those funky peppers on his head
Re: Another new opponent for Tua?
Tua is wasting his time with this. HE should fight a SOMEBODY next or call out somebody. All these "tune-ups" have no reason to happen. But if he can only barely beat Salif then :dontknow:

In the top right hand corner of EACH post, theres a few options one of them says 'Quote' you click on it and viola!!! ;)
About the crack, I guess I must have been on something!!!! ;D
Nah!! but really tho, during the time he announced his return was when we were trying to figure out who the fwock! was the Heavy. Champ, cause Sergei had beaten Brew, Valuev had beaten Ruiz, Toney & Rahman fought to a draw!! I mean belts were being exchanged like STDS in a whore house and new names like Sergei & Valuev were being added to the mix.....during all this mishap I said fwock it I'll take a chance on a comebacker like Tua and say he'll make a difference in the Heavy. :-\
It was a move out of desperation but hey! shet! happens...... :(

I agree on what you say, I was just hoping at that time that he would go in there and storm thru..... Peppers on his head!! ;D
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! funny....
Oh!! yeah!! Welcome to Casa De Saddo and hope you can join us tommorrow for the Drunken RD. BY RD. of PBF vs. Baldomir... 8)

Re: Another new opponent for Tua?
Tua is washed up. But in todays Heavyweight division. that doesn't matter.
Re: Another new opponent for Tua?
i think a motivated in shape tua could rule the division with exception to wlad , his size alone wins him that fight. i still say i would love to see a in shape tua vs sam peter or james toney or even lamon brewster those fights would be entertaining!!!!!!
