seriously he was over lathargic and seemed un responsive in his corner...did anyone else wonder?
anyway all the $$ i bet on PBF i lost on Sergei ,so i'm pretty sore
i honestly thought a win for the russian was a solid thing :o

Give Briggs his credit. He was just as tired if not more tired then Sergei but he showed the champions heart to dig deep and stop him with one second left and could barely stand aftert he fight. Give Briggs credit, he showed the stuff of a champion by pulling that out when he could barely stand

Fuck that.. Neither of those guys deserve any credit they were both in terrible shape and just went through the motions for 11 rounds.. Briggs didn't have to dig down for shit, and the fact that he could barely stand up is pathetic considering he probably threw a combined total of 30 punches through 11 rounds. I would give him credit if he had KOed Sergei in the early rounds like he should have done. Sergei sucks, and so does Briggs. Anyone who was still there in the 12th would have gotten that KO Sergei was soo bad. Briggs is also a joke neither of those guys belonged in a championship fight.

Who did you pick to win?
Briggs by early to mid KO/stoppage. But after watching the first 5 or 6 rounds of that fight I didn't give a damn either way they were clearly both in bad shape and fought terribly.

Briggs was neutalized the whole fight, 0 output. Id rather watch whales root, than another round of Briggs- Sergei. a shameful night of boxing !

Sergei leaned into that big punch and that was all she wrote. Could have happened at any moment during teh fight and I think he knew it after round 1.
Personally, I thought he was doing fine up until then. Nothing Chris Byrd hasn't done before, right? Byrd makes me sick.

You've got to give Byrd his dues though... he is by no means a true heavyweight... he's barely a legit cruiser if you ask me but unlike most heavyweights now days he actualy has some boxing skills.
Atleast he actually tried to hit Wlad... I'd be suprised if Briggs did half what Byrd did.

That's not entirely fair, Pantera. I think Pavlik cleaning house in the middleweight division is very plausible.
