Dont really get this post I agree oscar is mor eof a business man now and I always thought he was a little bit of a pussy but... he fought most of the best fighters.. he did I thought take a dive against bernard... but by the same token floyd mayweather doesnt impress me that much.. hes got fast hands great defense but again who has he beaten??? Gatti? Baldomir with in excess of 11 losses??? Struggled against castillo? Hes good but he aint that good ands his statement that sugar ray wouldnt be in the top ten is the stupides thing I have ever heard. Who the hell is around now??? I think it may be the other way around, roberto duran, hearns hagler, etc, all better by far than oscar delhoya or moisley who is kidding who?? No doubt floyd is a huge talent but be a little humble first

Oscar didn't take a dive vs. Bernard. He was just in there with a big guy and couldn't take the pressure. I think the fact that he went down with a body shot is lucky for Oscar since he would have just taken unneccesary head punches in the final 4 rounds. I think Oscar went to high in weight and even 154 was too high. I would like to see Oscar fight at 147 again, but that might be impossible. His best power weight I thought was 140. I liked his punches vs. Kamau.

I think Oscar and Mosley are among the four lightweights I have who would beat Duran along with Mayweather and WHitaker...and maybe Castillo but probably not. Anyways about comparing Mayweather to RJJ here are the differences... Roy Jones Jr. has alot more power than p4p than Mayweather does, and could hurt Ruiz who was in a weight category 46 pounds above where Roy started at junior middleweight.. Second Jones had better reflexes and speed p4p than Floyd. To compensate Floyd has a way more effective style, and a much more solid defense. I bet if you look at their careers Floyd has been hit less just because Roy would back up onto the ropes, but while Floyd could dominate a fight like he did against Baldomir he never could physically dominate a fight like Roy did pretty much every fight before Glen Johnson ;Tarver I he got control of physically and Tarver couldn't do anything, TarverII Jones Jr. was winning easily until Tarver landed that hook, except Montell Griffin I. Either way I think they both are up there as 1 and 2 in my mind as the best fighters ever, but Roy would have to go first because he dominated everybody with only 1-2 or two close fights in his prime (Montel I, Hopkins)

Why is Baldomir all of a sudden a bum with 11 losses? Why is it when Mayweather beats these people they are a nobody who didn't belong in the ring with him. Well this "nobody with 11 losses" was the undisputed welterweight champion. How did he get that ranking? By showing up?

No one is calling Baldomir a nobody. It's just absurd that Floyd starts acting like HE was the big underdog after the fight, rattling on about nonsense like Baldomir was expected to win and was supposed to be bigger than him. Floyd put up about a B to B+ performance as compared to most of his fights against a pretty good guy. But he's no legend, not yet, and sure as hell no Roy Jones. Anyway, what happend to you starr? I remember when you didn't like PBF and were even pickin Sharmba to beat him.

Didn't I try to tell you haters that I stuck with Sharmba because I don't change my picks? I said years ago when Sharmba was on his comeback run before the Tszyu rematch that if Floyd stepped in the ring with him then that he would win. And I told you the day of the fight that I was picking Sharmba to win because I wasn't going to change my pick and was gonna stick with the fighter I originally said. I even left the forum for a few days because I said that if he lost I would leave the forum for a few days and I did.
I don't hate Floyd Mayweather at all. I just wasn't going to change my vote on Sharmba.
And I never didn't like PBF. You remember the thrashing I gave someone for calling Floyd the "bad guy" for the Gatti fight? ;)

No your right he didn't win it just by showing up he won it when he whooped Zabs a$$ all over the ring. Thats how he got it. :)

To say Mosley and Delahoya would beat Duran no way. To beat Duran you need movement and nothing else. Punches just to keep him back, but nothing to try and knock him out. I think Duran takes Mosley by knockout. I think he knocks out Oscar also. Whitaker I think would have outpointed Duran just on style. He had the style to beat Duran.. Mayweather would not beat Duran. If he struggled with Castillo, Duran would demolish him.

Floyd has improved since Castillo? I don't see it. He fights the same way as always. Fast hands and winning on points, but his style is not a style which improves much with time. He overwhelms guys with his handspeed. I just think Duran would have outworked him. Ray was a stronger fighter than Floyd who could keep an effective puncher like Duran off of him long enough to use his lateral movement to reset and then move again.

yeah but nobody that Duran fought moved the way that Floyd did. And Floyd has changed. the Floyd that fought Castillo the first time would have been beaten by Baldomir.

Baldomir has gone up and down in ability according to the Floyd Mayweather fans. The guy is not that good, but he did win the title. He beat Zab Judah on a good night-he exploited the weak chin of Judah. He beat Gatti and did well,but beating Gatti is not exactly beating the best fighter in the world. Baldomir is a good contender who has some power but nothing more.
