Calzaghe to fight Manfredo ?? Does Joe need this at this stage of his career

Just read on BBC that this fight could be on the horizon

Like wtf ?!?! These aren't the fights that Joe should be looking for at this stage in his career. Is Manfredo really in his class - ok he's no mug but if it wasn't for The Contender he wouldn't be as big a name as he is.

Ok he is ranked 10 by The Ring but Joe has to be looking at bigger marquee names surely.

I hope this fight doesn't happen

He should go after Kessler and grab his belts BUT if he fights Manfredo he gets much more US exposure in the process.
I'd like to see him batter Kessler but feel he'll go to fight Manfredo in the US ;)

don't know how much longer Joe is intending ongoing on for but he needs the big ones to bring out the best in him - which it will ;)

What makes you think Manfredo is some sort of big name in the states? Because he was on a tv show that basically no one watches? Joe would be better off fighting some girl from "American Idol" if his looking for exposure... :P

Manfredo is garbage. And Calzaghe is a fuckin coward if he fights him. Simple as that.

Yes he must be shaking in his boots a guy who has had over 200 fights and has been in with strong men like Lacy and Eubank, lets see you try having 200 fights, he doesnt want to fight in Denmark it's as simple as that, which in away is understandable personally i would go for $3.7 million ( if that is actully correct i have my doubts) I cant really see Calzaghe knocking many guys out these days with his dodgy Left hand, so that means to the scorecards, now Kessler is more adored in Denmark than Ricky Hatton he is there national hero, so i can see Calzaghe getting no favours, now thats the only fear i see the fear of being screwed over if you meant that which i doubt you did i apologise, but im quite certain you did.

Hopkins turned down the biggest purse of his career to fight joe IN THE US - but u defended him doing that... dip shit

Depends who it is. If its Joe Calzaghe then he is obviously a low down yellow coward. If its Bernard Hopkins thats Ok becasue he is being smart.

Honestly,

This doesnt say much for Manfredo...Usually, when someone like JC wants an exposure fight, they pick out someone that will give up a bit of a fight, but in the end be dominated by JC's skills in the ring....

Truthfully, there are better fighters by far in the class that Joe could fight, but maybe he feels more comfortable taking this one....

I would rarher see him beat Kesslers ass first though,,,,Kessler is much to overated in my book.

I love B-Hop but I have had my Displeasures over some of his career choices as well..Trust me he aint squeaky clean by any means..... ;)
