Ok guys I am getting ready for the fourth installment of the sports book.

Please reply on this thread if you are interested in playing.
After that pm me with a list of ten fighters you want from the pool.

There are a couple of things I would like to discuss, like how long the season should be etc.

I would love to hear any recommendations.

Here is what last season 3's rules look like:

RULES
1 ) This season will last from October until the last fights that
occur in November.
2 ) All entrants will start with $10,000 virtual dollars.
3 ) If at the end of any week your bank goes to $0 and you don't have any fighters left in your stable
you are out for the season.
4 ) You may go All-in on any fight.
5 ) You may elect not to bet on any fights in a given week.
6 ) You DO NOT HAVE to pick over/under and a fighter
7 ) To determine how much you will win multiply the factor
times your bet. American and Fractional odds will be provided for those who
are comfortable with them.
8 ) Over and Under are given a round amount and pay out
REGARDLESS of who wins as long as the Over / Under criteria is met
9 ) Bids must be in by the day before the fight
10) You may change your bid once a week
11) *NEW* ACTION POINTS: you must have at least 10 action points
at the end of the season or you will be penalized, it works like this
2 ACTION POINTS: Buy a fighter from the pool
2 ACTION POINTS: Go all-in on one bid
1 ACTION POINT: Bid at least $1,000 on a fight
the penalties this time will be a percentage, for example
if you have 7 action points at the end of the season you will be
penalized 30% of your bank.
12) *NEW* You have a stable of fighters, that will payout when
they fight. $1,000 for lose or draw, $2,000 for a decision win,
$3,000 for a KO win.
13) *NEW* You may buy or sell your fighters to the pool
14) *NEW* You may buy, sell or trade your fighters with other
players at mutually agreed terms.
15) *NEW* If a fighter from your stable is going against someone
elses fighter from their stable, you can make a side bet (Even
money) and/or actually wager the fighters themselves.
16) *NEW* If you are inactive for 4 weeks you lose your stable.
17) *NEW* *MODIFIED* The person in first place, highest cash gain
and the highest climber in the first week of November get to draft a
free agent at no charge from a stable where the player has no action
points. In the case of a tie the person with more action points wins.

no there are two weeks left in the 3rd season, I just want to be able to move from season 3-4 without any off weeks.

To carry your fighters over I will put an amount on the stable part of the third season thread, you will be able to say whether or not you want to carry each fighter. The amount will be 10% of their value.

Well it's looking like it will be a 3 month season so far, get those votes in guys.

I'm also think about adding this:

CARDS
----------------
you can spend your action points to get cards that can be played, such as



1) Clone fighter, you get to clone a fighter to get paid for him fighting (he cannot be sold or gambled) Cost 10 action points

2) Diminutate wager, played on another player during the week, their gains (or losses) will be reduced by 50% Cost 10 action points

3) Free agent, you can draft a fighter from the pool for free. Cost 10 action points

4) Friend of the family, you can change the outcome of one fight. It will affect ALL wagers on that fight. Cost 25 action points

5) Yo-yo, you can take back one wager after the results have been shown. Cost 25 action points

6) Loan, each loan will give you $1,000 must be paid back with interest. Cost 5 action points

7) Stable swipe, you can swipe a fighter from any players stable. Cost 25 action points


What do you guys think?

cc killer...and you know Im in again. ;D Im not sure about the action points thou, like the idea but the use of them is what I am not sure about.
